Well, once your case gets approved or RFE -- Online status will definitely get updated . Did you create online profile in USCIS , so you can get intimated whenever there is change in status .

Then it also gets updated when it is being sent to National visa center.

I filed in June, got sent to Nebraska, where dreams go to die. Supposedly they're already processing NOA2s for ~ the end of May, and I'm wondering: for those of you who have received your NOA2s, did the USCIS case status website ever update to something other than 'case received?' Or did you get the notice in the mail first?

I received a text message from USCIS, and at the same time my case was updated to "My Case was Approved" on the website.

On a average Nebraska takes 5 to 6 months. Nothing to worry , As long as your petition is not error prone, you will receive positive news from them.

My i-130 was received on 05/23/2016 and today 10/12/2016 the status got changed to "10/12/2016

Yes. We got the same notification It looks like an entire stack of people were moved. I wonder what happened? Does this mean we are proceeding forward or dumped at the bottom of a new office list?

Hello, yes was Nebraska and approved Aug 4, however they only sent to NVC on Oct 3 and only updated the website, we got NO email or SMS. Our NOA2 got updated on system and we got hardcopy in mail but NO email or SMS.

Unfortunately I can't find the article, but my husband sent me a news item stating that USCIS and NVC personnel were being "routed" to fast processing of USA Residents filing for Permanent Residency so that they can vote November 8. I think some of the files are being moved around because of the "stealing" of resources so hopefully fingers crossed it is a good thing for you in that it won't just sit on someones desk until they are available again?

Does it say approved or sent to Department of State? We unfortunately waited 6 weeks thinking it was enroute but until it changes to Department of State it is still sitting on someones desk at USCIS
