Our case was received May 19th and that is the only status update so far for us on the USCIS website... We still have heard nothing! Is anyone else in the same boat?

We've contacted our senators and our request to them has also been ignored, what a frustrating process! This is so depressing!

Interview date: April 19th, 2017

Mine reached nvc October 3, number assigned October 20, then it's taken about 1 week for ds261, aos fees to clear, IV fees to clear and just completed our ds260 and sent our packets to nvc October 28.

From here we have to wait for packets to be scanned into system and from there cases have been taking 6-8 weeks to review. I can't confirm as I haven't got to that stage yet.

Can I ask how you found out that your case got to the nvc? Did you get an email or did your case Status change or did you call?

Thanks for your reply. I just called the automated USCIS phone line and it said that our case has been transferred to Lincoln, Nebraska.

Now we are a bit confused as our case was already in Nebraska - our NOA1 stated the case was being handled by the Nebraska Service Center.

So our case has been transferred from Nebraksa to.........Nebraska?!

Following this status update on October 18th, we finally received the associated letter today (November 5th - 18 days!) and the letter states that the case was transferred to Texas.

Given that the case was transferred to Texas 18 days ago, does anyone have any insight on how long we might wait for our case to be updated now? As of October 31st, we are beyond the 5 month period since our case was accepted and my wife has been wondering whether she should get in touch with her senator in Florida............

TIA.

January 15th 2012: Met my future wife online.

November 12th 2014: Married in Paphos, Cyprus.

April 25th 2016: I-130 mailed to Chicago Lockbox.

May 20th 2016: I-130 returned due to problems with check.

May 23rd 2016: I-130 mailed to relative in California to insert check.

May 25th 2016: I-130 received by relative and forwarded to Chicago lockbox with check.

May 31st 2016: I-130 signed for at Chicago Lockbox via USPS.

June 4th 2016: NOA1 received by Email with May 31st acceptance date.

June 18th 2016: NOA1 hard copy received in mail - case sent to the Nebraska Service Center.

October 18th 2016: Case transferred to Texas Service Center

November 23rd 2016: Contacted State Senator (Marco Rubio) to ask for assistance.

December 19th 2016: Marco Rubios' office replied.

December 30th 2016: NOA2 Received by Email. Case Approved.

January 8th 2017: Case sent to Department of State (NVC)

January 19th 2017: Case Received by NVCNVC case number assigned. Invoice ID number received.

April 28th 2017: NVC case approved. Awaiting Interview Scheduling at US Embassy in Nicosia, Cyprus (9 weeks, 2 days after documents received).

May 3rd 2017: Interview scheduled at US Embassy in Nicosia, Cyprus for June 9th 2017  (5 days after NVC case approved).

June 9th 2017: Embassy Interview. APPROVED! Passport ready for collection in 5 working days! Flights booked! (on flexible tickets).

Our case got transferred on the same day (Transfer 10/18, PD 06/01), and we contacted our senator's office recently. The reply received from the TSC indicated it will take around 30 days from when they receive the petition from NSC for it to be processed.

Through the USCIS app, we're seeing that cases transferred about a week before ours are recently getting approved, we're praying that our approval comes this upcoming week, or in two weeks maximum.

My roommate applied for a K1 a month after us, got approved in a month, visa in hand in a total of 4 months, and we can't even get an approval for a visa journey that started in 2013. Then I missed my husband's phone call because my trifling family was too lazy to answer the phone while I was out of the room. At this point I've nearly made myself sick from crying, especially since I haven't seen my husband since this latest round of "can we get a visa please." I absolutely lost it when the operator said that they were processing petitions within the April 2 time frame and we weren't within he five month processing timeframe. I'm slowly losing my sh!t and patience with everyone. . . Edited by alicia98981

Just got off the phone as well with the USCIS and they are still telling people they are still on April 2nd and can give no more information than that. The operator told me that if no update is given by the 20th of this month to call back and they will open an investigation, but as of now we are apparently still within the "normal" processing time-frame

Interview date: April 19th, 2017
