AOS interview but no on the spot approval

Hello everyone! We had our AOS interview from marriage to US citizen a couple of days ago. Everything was OK during the interview but we never received a verbal approval from the IO.

Two days later I received via mail our copy of the removal of conditional status which was signed by the IO. It also mentioned that I have been granted as conditional permanent resident as of interview date. Does that mean that our AOS has been approved? The status of our application online is still for "Interview".

10/05/15 - Sent AOS package (I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131)

10/07/15 - Package delivered at Chicago lockbox

10/14/15 - Received NOA1 text notifications

10/19/15 - Received NOA1 hard copies

10/23/15 - Received biometrics appointment letter

11/04/15 - Completed biometrics

11/10/15 - AOS case status changed to "Ready to be scheduled for interview"

12/18/15 - EAD/AP approved

12/26/15 - EAD/AP received

04/01/16 - Interview scheduled

05/04/16 - Interview date

05/09/16 - Received approval letter for I-485 and I-130 (Notice date 05/04/16)

Adjustment of Status (AOS) is a different process than Removal of Conditions (ROC). If you were granted conditional permanent resident status your AOS was approved. At the end of two more years you will have to petition to Remove the Conditions on your conditional permanent resident status.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)

Sounds like your conditional green card has been approved (based on the information you provide and your timeline). I'm assuming you didn't already have a green card?

As said, removal of conditions on your green card will happen later (2 years from now).

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

10/3/16: Biometrics appointment (day 19)

11/4/16: EAD+AP approved (day 53)

11/16/16: EAD status changed to card shipped (day 65)

11/17/16: EAD/AP combo card received (day 66)

12/30/16: Notice of interview scheduled (day 109)

2/1/17: AOS interview (day 142) - APPROVED

2/8/17: GC received (day 150)

Thanks for your reply Pitaya! I was supposed to write removal of conditional status slip. Sorry about that.

If we were approved, I wonder what else is pending since the online status hasn't been updated still..

As said, removal of conditions on your green card will happen later (2 years from now).

No green card and no notification that it was to be processed. I really hope it meant an approval and I hope that the USCIS tracker will update soon! (cross fingers)

Received approval notice today for both I-485 and I-130. The notice date is the same as our interview date!
