Hi Everyone,

So we have our interview May 22nd in Baghdad. I am going to be using a co-sponsor. I'm just confused about what paperwork we need to fill out. Do I and my family member both need to fill out the I-134 and I-864, even though it will all be their income we are using? I'm student teaching and have no income. Also, do we just pick one of the options? We are using paystubs and a letter from her employer. Do I need to include anything since it is a based on her income? Thanks so much!

Thank you so much! What about the I-864? Is I-864 not needed since the K1 is non-immigrant? Also, do we choose only one of the options, either bank statements or employer and salary information? I planned on just sending my fiance my cosponsor's letter of employment and paystubs.

Thank you :). And just submitting a letter from her employer and paystubs is acceptable?

When filling out the form, for relationship to sponsor, what is accepted in that place? It is my aunt who is my co-sponsor. What would she need to put there. Since we are using her income, am I required to submit bank statements and what not, or is just her information proving her income enough?

The instructions for the I-134 state As the sponsor, you must show you have sufficient income or financial resources to assure that the alien you are

sponsoring will not become a public charge while in the United States.

Evidence should consist of copies of any of the

documents listed below that apply to your situation.

Failure to provide evidence of sufficient income or

financial resources may result in the denial of the alien's

application for a visa or his or her removal from the United States.

Submit in duplicate evidence of income and resources,

as appropriate:

A.1. Date account opened;Supporting Evidence

2. Total amount deposited for the past year; and

3. Present balance.

B. Statement(s) from your employer on business stationery showing:

1. Date and nature of employment;

2. Salary paid; and

3. Whether the position is temporary or permanent.

Is adding proof of citizenship and taxes just an added measure of security?
