Hey guys. I sent my documents to the U.S to a relative so they can forward it to the NVC, I made some mistakes on the tax page.

1. I was not required to file a Federal income tax return as my income was below the IRS required level and I

have attached evidence to support this. I checked out yes. The problem is I sent in a tax return from 2013 because that's when I was working in the US, and my income wasn't below threshold. I was not required to file for 2014 and 2015, would be submitting a tax return be a problem? Should I avoid submitting it since it was income from a former job?
2. Have you filed a Federal income tax return for each of the three most recent tax years? Do I check yes or no? I only have 2013 tax return transcript.

(Optional) I have attached photocopies or transcripts of my Federal income tax returns for my second and third most recent tax years.
Again, do I check this out instead of the second one? I only have it for my third year . . . since I did not file for 2014 and 2015 as I was exempt . . . do I even need to add one from 2013?

hi

why are they sending it and not you? you should be sending everything

you should mark no on the first one, and attach a letter explaining why you weren't required to file 2015 taxes, which is the most recent tax that immigration is requesting and also 2014 taxes

you can put 2013, but the most important ones are current income and 2015 taxes

Hmm. They are sending everything because they are my joint sponsors. I live abroad, and no one here can be a joint sponsor. Wait so for the first one I check out "No"? I didn't file because I live abroad, and my income is very, very low.

hi

it doesn't matter, you can mail all the documents and forms to NVC

attach a letter explaining why you weren't required to file taxes

don't put that you live abroad, USC must file taxes wherever they live if they meet the requirements

It doesn't matter that you live abroad

do you have US domicile? you will need to prove you have ties to the US before or at the time your wife comes

The joint sponsor can mail them, no big deal.

IMHO dont send the 2013 return. Check no for the box that says you filed the last 3 years. Write the correct amount for 2013 on the I-864 but put not required to file on the other two lines and include that letter and evidence.
