AOS and ROC Timelines

Captain Ewok,

I see that there is no date for the single most important milestone of the AOS and ROC processes - approval. There is a 'Yes or No', but what people want to know is 'when' - how long did it take.

For AOS approval does not necessarily correspond with the interview. It often comes after the interview, sometimes long after. And under current USCIS procedures there is sometimes no interview.

For ROC approval usually comes without an interview, an interview is the exception rather than the rule.

When the Green Card is received is not a good indication of when the approval was given. Delivery times are improving, but the card often arrives significantly after approval.
