Reading about it?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Stats on muslim views on honor killings. Lots and lots of them support it. When you want to learn about islam, go with the actions and beliefs of muslims (should be common sense).

Actually, quite a few don't. Only in Afghanistan and Iraq is it a bit more than half.

But I know anything to say Muslims are horrible people is your thing; you should really get better material.

Wonder if they're going to get life?

Few cases go to court, but among those that do, attackers are often forgiven under a clause of law rooted in Islamic law. Legislation is currently pending at Pakistan’s parliament to close the loophole, which many say encourages such attacks.

indeed, big picture - this sort of thing happens here but is rarely a 'honor killing' but instead 'if i can't have you no one else will' killing. 'you're mine and when i decide you're done living, you're dead' is an attitude free of religious ties.

anyway..just as horrible as honor killings but go down daily..here in america.

yesterday, science teacher sitting in her car waiting to pick up her daughters from high school. her husband rolls up, shoots her and a bystander that tried to help her, now she's dead. one of her daughters saw it all play out..

I read this and though tragic but I missed see the part where the school board or city council or legislature or whoever was in charge got together and ordered it done, like the peaceful and deeply religious tribal council in the OP.

They just pay a few dollars of blood money, girls are only valued at 1/2 of boys, and move on
