indeed, big picture - this sort of thing happens here but is rarely a 'honor killing' but instead 'if i can't have you no one else will' killing. 'you're mine and when i decide you're done living, you're dead' is an attitude free of religious ties.

anyway..just as horrible as honor killings but go down daily..here in america.

yesterday, science teacher sitting in her car waiting to pick up her daughters from high school. her husband rolls up, shoots her and a bystander that tried to help her, now she's dead. one of her daughters saw it all play out..

crazy that the guy worked for dhs. he was in federal protection and when his wife got the restraining order the cops confiscated his weapons. i guess not all of them.
