Hola!

My case was sent to the consulate in the Dom Rep on April 28th, 2016. I checked the status of my case on cea.state.gov website on May 3rd, and cause status changed yesterday to may 5th when I checked again.

I called the 703-988-3410, and asked for information, they told me to wait.

I filled the ds-160, and created the profile on the travel docs and I was giving a confirmation to make a payment at banco popular in the dom rep where my partner lives. When I called the 703-988-3410, they told me not to make the payment yet.

I checked my case again this morning and its says "ready" case updated may 5th, 2016.

is my partner going to receive a call from the consulate? is my partner going to receive " pre-aviso" ? if so when?

is there's any order form that I need to fill? I did ds160, and travel docs already...what other forms I need to fill ? were doing visa-K1.

when is my partner going to get the rpe-aviso? when can we make the payment? when can I schedule the interview for fingerprints and consular as well?

What documents I need to bring with me to the interview when I travel to the Dom Rep?

Please help me ASAP... if I can call someone from here please provide me a phone number and I can call you to get advise.

Thank you,

Brian

I don't know it this is how it happens in DR but, typically, the call in letter will be sent to your fiance's mailing address you provided. You can also email the embassy to find out when your fiance will get the call in letter. The call in letter will have list of things to do before the interview. Payments are made at the embassy on the interview day. You should read the reviews from people when had their interview in DR. Most of your questions have probably been answered there.

You dont pay at the embassy, you pay at banco popular.

Read here on caribean forums there are threat about that.

Hi, when do I have to make the payment? the case says "ready" . I checked on the ceac.state.gov website. I did the ds-160 form, and travel docs profile.

my partner haven't received the packet from consulate yet and today is May 9th, 2016.

Never your patner will get letter, embasdy dont send letter from.2015.

Once you fill outsd-160 and create your profil at ustraveldocs , you print the page with the fee to pay at banco oopular.

Once you pay at banco popular, next day after pay go to your profil and finish , enter the number from receipt banco popular and schedule your interview at embassy.

Now you schedule your interview no embassy.

You need schedule an appoinment a VAC for fingersprints and photo.

You can shedule at VAC the same day that the medival exam.

You can go medical in the morning and fingersprint in the afternoon.

Here in this forum there are a lots of threat about the new process at the embassy , just take time to read.
