Good Morning All,

Happy Friday to you all, and happy mother's day in advance.

My case was sent to the consulate in the Dominican Republic on April 28th. I checked my the status of my case (using my case number provided by NVC) on ceac.state.gov and I see the following information.

Cause creation Date: April 27th, 2016

Case updated date: May 5th, 2016

Can someone explain me what this means? When is mu fiancée is going to get the "packet" to get the exams, and other paperwork from consular? I checked yesterday and the "updated date was may 3rd, 2016, and yesterday was May 5th, 2016. what this case updated date (s) means?

Please explain clear to me.

Thank you for your help.

Brian

Your fiance should be filing out DS-160 Visa application online and submitting the Visa fee. After the embassy receives the DS-120, they will send you a packet with information of what your finance need to bring with her and steps on completing the entire process and medical exam prior to the interview. If you have any questions you can call the Embassy direct with your case number.

Just be sure you send her I-134 affidavit of support.

I don't think we have to do DS-120, we are doing doing visa k1. we did the ds-160, and the ptofile on traveldocs.
