Just wondering if the two of you have left the US for any other foreign countries together for vacation since you got your visa? Not including the country of your SO's origin.

Technically, she's not quite here yet.........however, she was originally, when I met her, and being that we lived together for a while before she left, we did go to a few places.

Some were Miami, ....Atlanta/Savannah (for New Year's).......Chicago..........

We haven't gone anywhere out of the USA (other than me going to Turkey several times to see her), but definately plan to when she arrives for good. We have a decent amout of "skymiles" racked up, and plan to make good use of them some day. :thumbs:

April 16, 2004 Married in Saint Augustine, Florida.

March 7, 2005 Wife left for Istanbul to serve J-1 2 year HRR. Was a very bad day at Black Rock.

May 23, 2006 USCIS receives application for I-130

Oct 10 ,2006 Received fee bill from NVC

Nov 13 ,2006 Received Packet 2 DS-230

Jan 4, 2007 Mailed Packet 2 to NVC

Jan 22, 2007 RFE from NVC aaarrrrgggghhh!!!!!!!!

Feb 28, 2007 NVC received "checklist" response and original documents for the RFE

March 13, 2007 Case completed at NVC! Whoooohoooo!! Ankara, here we come!!!!

March 15, 2007 Case fowarded to Ankara Embassy

April 4, 2007 Interview. Wife gets handed the little green paper. Not good. Need to submit a few more things.

April 9, 2007 Items mailed back to Embassy. Crossing fingers, rubbing the "rabbit's foot", etc,..that this may FINALLY be the end.

April 14, 2007 Visa delivered! Wife is finally going to be on her way back home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

April 20, 2007 Wife enters through JFK. The days of grabbing my dinners at the WalMart deli....are now officially over!!!

We are not married yet, but the two times we have been together we traveled to: Orlando, Key West, Georgia, Nassau, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, London and Tenerife. Not a bad start considering that is over a period of 5 weeks total.

I can't wait to get back over to Europe and start traveling!

We go to Canada often as we're close to the border. Montreal for dinner is pretty nice and a great feeling to get out of the country for the day! Quebec City is also a regular weekend getaway. Since I've lived here we've been to Nova Scotia, Vancouver, Toronto, Mexico, Ireland, Scotland, France, UK, and many US states. The benefits of one of us being self-employed and the other a college professor -- plenty of time off when you want, and paid holidays!

September 2008 - US passport delivered!

We could never afford travelling. We're trying to save some money to maybe go to Las Vegas next year.

Hubby has never been out of the US (except for Canada when he was a little kid). I have traveled all over Europe.

We can never agree on where we want to go when we can afford it. I am interested in countries like Tanzania, China, India and Chile, whereas hubby wants to see Ireland and Holland.
