superviosr review - it has been 7 months

My sister filed a petition for her husband and during the process the case went into termination for some reason. We contacted them immediately and told them that it was not right. The email was sent in September and we received an email from nvc on Dec 31st about superviosr review. It is now may 2016 and after multiple calls they are still telling me to wait.

I wish we had just sent them the money to restart. This has been atrocious and very stressful for my sister. What can we do at this point? Her priority date is sometime in 2012...

If you received an email from NVC on December 31st, that means the case has been on supervisor review for little over four months. Unfortunately, supervisor review can take time, especially since there seem to have been other issues with the case as well. If you give the information specified by dwheels, hopefully we can help more.

1. The termination from NVC is probably due to no activity for a year.

We had emailed them and filled out the ds-260 before our "last" communication even by their own book keeping.

Immediately afterwards. Then I emailed them again with proof that we contacted and filled out information in time.

I am not sure unfortunately. This cased was being handled by a lawyer in the beginning. When I check the case number it says " at NVC"

i am not sure but it seems it was at NVC sometime in 2013

1. What exactly have you done at NVC?

We never received the package that everyone talks about. Is the beneficiary in the other country supposed to receive something? We never got those

Fees were paid in 2013 and they were different prices. Now it shows "EXPIRED".

So you did the choice of agent (ds-261) in 2013 and you submitted the documents and ds-260 in 2015?! What kind of communication did you have with NVC in between?

Once you submitted the ds-261, all communication would have gone to the email provided in that form. Did you fill it out or did the lawyer?

You need to get on the phone call NVC and demand to speak to a Supervisor. This is crazy. There seems to be alot of misinformation. I am sure you will have to pay now the new fees because you been stuck at NVC. If you had a lawyer I can almost bet you got a checklist and it wasn't attended to and sat. Call NVC and ask for a supervisor.

DO NOT EMAIL NVC AGAIN. Call they are open 7am to midnight EDT. Report back what they say.

2. What do I need to do?
3. Do I have to repay the fees?

Be sure they have your email or whoever will be handling this. I gather your sister is totally out the loop and the Petitioner also and you are handing things. Good luck.

thanks for the help guys. I have been calling everyday and they wouldnt let me talk to any supervisor. I called at a different time and asked again and they said the case was updated yesterday and to wait for an email. So lets see what they have for me.
