Good evening

I am just curious beside calling the NVC, is there a way to figure out where your visa packet is??

i.e. if it is still in California, or if they have fowarded it to NVC, or if NVC has forwarded it to Peru.

And once again, beforehand, Thanks!!

My personal experience was this:

I received email from USCIS approval, NOA2.

I797 snail mail a few days later.

Called NVC many times. Automated system never had a record of our petition.

Finally got a live operator after a couple of weeks, and she said it was on it's way to Embassy.

Emailed Embassy a few times, nothing.

One day got an email from the Embassy saying it was on it's way.

Bottom line....be persistant, keep your communications expectations low, be ready for a sweet surprise!

Keep in mind that k-1s aren't entered into the automated system, when calling, you MUST speak to an operator. And yes be persistant, email and call everyday!

after getting the email notification of noa2, I called nvc about a week later to find out when I would receive a letter from them. They said they had not received anything yet from CSC. A few days later I called nvc back and they said when they received my petition from CSC and when they had mailed my petition to Ghana. Using the date the nvc told me they mailed it, I went to DHL website and tracked it

go to track

select: track by reference

in reference section put: CORRESPONDENCE

seclect the approx dates your package was shipped, based on what nvc will tell you.

in origin postal code put: 03801 (which is nvc's zip)

thats about it, you wont be able to see exactly which one is yours, but it will give you a real good idea. I hope this helps you
