I read on the instructions that affidavits need supporting evidence. What it that exactly?
If we live with my mother in law, would sending an ID photocopy be enough to show we're all living at the same address? Also, I think she added me to her life insurance as a beneficiary, should we add that as well?
We'll have to file our ROC next year, but I figured it's never too early to collect evidence.

In addition to this, I was added to my husband's bank account shortly after getting married BUT our debit cards have different numbers on them, although all the transactions go to the same bank account. Is this normal? Should we just get a paper from the bank saying both our names are on it?

So far all we have is in the following list:

- tax returns

- health insurance cards

- life insurance (MAYBE a copy of my MIL's life insurance as well, since she added both of us)

- bank account with both names (no papers from the bank since it's online banking)
- mail received at the same address
- MIL affidavit
- ID and driver's license with the same address
The rent and bills do not have our name on them, as we pitch in but since everything was already with someone else's name it made no sense to us to change it all jut cause I moved it.
Again, I realize this is early but I always want to make sure we have everything or enough time to get what ever else we may need.

Just have the mom-in law write and sign an affidavit stating that you live together as a married couple in her house and help out with the bills that are in her name, or something similar. Yes, her adding you as a beneficiary of her insurance can be used.

Bank statements should show both names on them, if the account is joint. If you use online banking, you should be able to view and print your bank statements. You will want to show statements from all joint accounts that span the entire length of your marriage.

I hope it won't be a problem to get document from 2 years back. Our bank account is basically paperless and they only occasionally write us at home if there's any changes. We'll have to contact the bank I guess.

Thanks for the reply.
