K-1 Timeline

My fiancee who is US based filed our petition earlier this year and we received confirmation of receipt at the end of March. Although she is based in Mississippi our docs were sent to California. I understand that this initial process can take anywhere between 3-5 months but what happens after that? My questions are:

1. How long will it take to get an interview with the embassy in the UK (I am UK based) presuming that everything is approved?
2. What will I need to bring to the interview other than the packet she originally submitted which she has photocopied for me?
3. Is there anything else I need to be aware of?

I am just trying to get an idea of a timeline so we can somewhat plan for our wedding accordingly and at least give people a rough idea of when we expect to marry so they can plan to be there. Thanks very much.

Don't plan the wedding or travel to US until you have the visa approved

1. Since you are going through CSC most petitions with no RFE's are getting approved around 2 months so your interview is usually about another month and a half after that if not longer depending on how quickly you can get your medical scheduled.

Wow, thank-you...this is more than helpful. Can I file for police records and get shots done now or do I have to wait till I hear back and get a specific number? I don't think that was clarified over there. Also, what does the medical exam consist of...do I have to run on a treadmill and things like that...I have no idea.
