I know it says to bring old and new passports, but I think it's always said that? I remember husband taking his old one with him, and they didn't need it.

Something I forgot to mention for those who follow.

The webpage now lets you book your interview as soon as you have your DS-160 number and LND number, and gives a warning you need to allow 5 working days for medical results to be delivered to embassy.

You also have the options to cancel, reschedule and expedite your requests via the new site.

So you could, receive LND, Complete readiness, DS-160 and book medical for say the next day, and book your interview for 4 weeks later (4 weeks seems to be the minimum the system lets you) So it's a much faster turn around than before.

This old passports thing bothers me.

I've had a passport since I emigrated for the first time when I was 8 months old. No idea where all but 2 of my previous passports are. One of them was lost on a train.

I will take the two that I do have as well as the current one but probably won't even be asked for them.

Thank you Nich-Nick, I was looking at step 8 the interview and it didn't seem like the wording had changed.

As a DCF couple, this is a bit stressful, as you never know how changes like this will affect the whole timing of the process!

We are in the same boat (I think). DCF filing for CR1?

I was hoping to get an interview date asap and had submitted our readiness form mid April. Now worried this will hold things up (or just wishing I could figure out how / if to use this self-booking process instead).

In the meantime I'm just checking the mail like a crazy person every day!!

Hey all,

I submitted my applicant readiness form last week and had my medical last week! Saw this new May 3rd thing and created a new account, with a different email (as I had previously been on a J visa) on the link given, but was told that my case was not ready for an interview on the website! So I emailed the London embassy to ask if it's possible to schedule one or wait for it to be scheduled if submitted prior to this date! I'll let you know the response, cheers guys.

That's interesting, and makes me feel a bit safer about my own case.

If that website can tell whether you can schedule an interview based on LND and DS-160 number, it's a good thing, no worries about the cases not matching up, or them not having medical results in time.

Benkat, out of interest, has your CEAC updated since your medical to advise they have recieved the medical results?

I thought it had! It updated twice, I had my medical on April 26th submitted my applicant readiness form and DS160 on the 27th of April, on the 27th of April CEAC updated and it updated again on April 29th. Think that the 27th was just the DS160 going through and Applicant readiness form went through on the 29th? Medical yet to arrive?

I'm also curious if it's an issue I used 2 different emails... jobloggs111 was the email I used for my J1 visa and submitted with both DS160s but I created a new account under the 'immigrant' category on the link provided on here, with my work email listed, as the other account only let me on the 'non-immigrant' category.

Might be that; I had it update once after each readiness, medical and DS-160, so it could be that.

I don't think it could be the email, I'm trying to remember if it was used in the DS-160 or readiness, I can't remember giving them it... and previously we'd used the petitioners.

Yes I think we are, we are just a bit behind you! We are eagerly waiting for our NOA2 to arrive any day now, so we can move on with the rest of the process, and checking the mail like crazy people!

I'm starting to get the impression that this is not for IR1 / CR1 visa's from looking at the embassy site. For family immigration it always talks about NVC scheduling the interview and that you have to contact the embassy if you can't make that one and you have to reschedule. Also they can't guarantee you'll get it for that date.

It is not for visas processed at NVC. See post #13 in this thread back on the first page.
