But I just pulled out the merchandise I took from my purse, and he called the cop, and I didn't got arrested, but the cop issued me a Summons for Misdemeanor (retail theft) section no. 812.015. And it indicates the court date and time which I won't be able to go to the said that. Is there's a possible way to reschedule it until we get back from our out of town trip in November?? @blest.but.strest is it possible just to hire a lawyer over the phone or through email? I cannot afford to hire a lawyer, I really don't kow where to begin. Then I just have the Naturalization interview yesterday, and still waiting for my oath ceremony schedule.

@Irish86 I don't even know if I got the charge, as the cops didn't take me to the police department, and they juat let me stay inside their cop car, while running my drivers license to find out if I commit any crime before, which they found nothing on my record,. So thwy just issued me this Yellow Ticket its a Summons for Misdemeanor, with court date and time and place. But I emailed the clerk court and they found nothing on their record under my name, . I believe the cop did not turn the ticket yet, and I am hoping that the store supervisor will not press charhe against me and will just send me some civil arraignment or any fines.

If the police officer didn't bring you inside the police station and get your finger print... I don't think you will have a record :) not sure but the only way the uscis find that out is through a biometric . But if you get charge pls try to get dismissed so it won't hurt your naturalization process

I have not :(

If you do not disclose this, then they can revoke your citizenship if you just got it and deport you. You need to report it. Have you had your oath yet?

Still waiting for my oath tho. I already talked to lawyer, and I just don't have the kind of money that they're asking right now :( the lawyer said he went and check it in the County Clerk court and I didn't have any record, so all i have to do let the lawyer write a plea of not guilty, then go foe diversion then my name will be totally cleared. It just the financial thing, is my major problem.

It won't be cleared for immigration. You will need to update this information with them, and if you don't, they can revoke citizenship because you lied.

USCIS would probably review your whole N-400 application again and wait till your current case is resolved before they make the final decision to approve you or not.

You should know that Shop lifting is a Crime Involving Moral Turpitude.

USCIS could deny your N-400 for lack of good moral character, given that shop lifting is so recent.
