Is there anyone else that has not even been scheduled for an interview as of today?  I have a PD of May 23 and still have not heard anything...

I'm still waiting as well. PD May 10th, still no word..it's sooooo frustrating to see even august filers got done with their interviews. I really don't know what to do, I contacted the customer service,  the L2 officers, the Senator,  the congressman,  nothing seems to move forward.

My wifes PD is May 28th and is still pending FBI background check. We have tried everything but nothing seems to help. Are you guys able to verify at what stage your case is stuck?

Every time is different answer, it's either the field office is overloaded,  or pending background check,  or pending name check, or normal processing...you never get a straight answer. But for sure they use the background check " as the perfect excuse

Yes, I too have contacted the Congressperson, and called a few times to USCIS, I also get a different answer every time.  I am still waiting to hear from the Congressperson.  I am also past the processing time of May 28 according to USCIS.  The lack of transparency in the processing is very frustrating.

We made an InfoPass appointment demanding answers and thats where we found out background check is pending than we has congresswoman's office contact USCIS and they got the same answer so than i requested congresswoman's office to reach out to FBI i directly (they request different release form from my wife to speak to FBI regarding her case) and FBI replied saying it is still pending background check so than i asked them to put it in writting and ask FBI if the case is still in backlog or being worked and they said its being worked. The reason for getting it documented is you can sue USCIS if they dont resolve case in timely manner. And timely manner seems to be 15 months.

Can someone please update my timeline? Interview was 2/7 (went extremely well but had to wait 4 hours after)

I suppose you'd hear something very soon... hopefully next week the latest, let's keep fingers crossed.. I'm very behind too, but at least the processing time for my field office (April 30) is behind by PD (May 27)

quick question for everybody with delayed cases... did you include speeding tickets on your n400 application, and answered "yes" to one of the questions asking about prior citations, arrests or convictions?  I did answer 'yes', and included all my speeding tickets in the table, one of which came with a reckless driving citation...

 

maybe that's the reason our cases are stuck in background check?

No citations or tickets whatsoever...still delayed since May 10th ...it's sooooo frustrating to wait impatiently,  especially that we don't know when to expect thus journey to end... I'm so sorry student79, but I don't think it's the reckless driving that's holding back your application.  We will wait of course:)

Just got my oath scheduled for tomorrow...One can say that on St. Valentine's day I'm breaking up with immigration   (oh sweet irony) ....On of the final posts in VJ before I turn my font red...It has been a long journey and VJ  definitely help make sense of everything that did not make sense at first....What a great community...keep it going.
