I had my interview today, and it went smoothly. After the language test and the civics test (6 easy questions), she went over some details in my application and asked me the yes/no questions. It took about half an hour, in part because of computer problems she was having. Afterwards she said that she'd recommend me for approval or however they word it. She didn't know the oath ceremony date, but I was happy to hear that it'll be in or near my city and that I won't have to drive across the state to it.

I was concerned about my passport because it was on the list of things to bring, but I couldn't find mine. She didn't sound concerned, possibly because it had expired in 2011. I don't have a current one.

I'd brought 2 folders of documentation in case I needed it, but I didn't even open the folders.

My online status at the USCIS site has been updated to say that my oath ceremony date has been scheduled and that I'll receive it in the mail.

I asked the interviewer about the IOE application numbers and said that people have been talking about the delay online. She said that those applications were computerized and that the USCIS staff had been waiting until the system was ready for them before processing them. That's pretty much what we thought.

I just called USCIS and they told me I probably won't get my interview letter for another 3 months....

I am just beyond words... People in the april timeline for houston are scheduled for the oaths already.

I dont even know what to do!!!

Just wanted to provide an update. My interview was held this morning at the Baltimore office. My appt. was for 7:30am. It was probably around 8:00am by the time I was called in for the interview.

Everyone from the security guys at the front, the guys at the check-in counter and the interviewer were extremely friendly.

My interview was straightforward - he went through the standard procedure of verifying some of the information on the form; asked me 6 test questions and the language test. The only documents I had to provide were my interview letter, passport and greencard. Note that I am single and do not have any children - so my case is probably fairly simple.

By the time I got back to the parking lot, got into my car and powered on my phone, the time was around 8:25am.

We are allowed to take our phones, chargers, smartwatches and laptops with us (I had all of these) - you just go through a screening at the door that is similar to any airport screening. Just don't take any sharp objects or tools like knives or scissors.

Unfortunately, it looks like Baltimore does not offer same day oath ceremonies any longer. I was told that I would receive a letter for the oath ceremony. My online status has already been updated indicating that a letter for the oath ceremony has been sent out. I will update this forum once the letter arrives.

The interviewer did mention that they are using an online system that is about 60 days old and that they are still clearing some of the kinks in the system.

I was hoping to take oath on the day a woman finally becomes the President of the USA - neither the oath ceremony nor the dream of a female president materialized. But I was asked for my photo ID when I went to buy a bottle of wine to celebrate today's interview and drown out last night's sorrow. So I guess I can't complain

I just called USCIS and they told me I probably won't get my interview letter for another 3 months....

I am just beyond words... People in the april timeline for houston are scheduled for the oaths already.

I dont even know what to do!!!

I think she was being politically correct and just quoting me what's on the website for current turn times BUT those turn times are for AUGUST!!!

I asked what the last step was on my file and if the background check had been completed and they said nothing has been done since the biometrics.

I sincerely hope she's just misinformed or just doesnt have access to more information because 3 more months would put me at a 9 month mark. My 6 months are due on 11-19!!

She told me to call again once I was outside of turn times and I would hopefully have access to more information.

yeah thats what i was wondering that its for August turn time and its November now. do you have the USCIS online account? try to email the immigration officer from your online account, at least they will tell you if you in line to schedule interview or not. My 6 months are due on 12-1.

Well, we finally got our 'interview scheduled' notice yesterday. We live in Dallas and they appear to be a bit behind the rest of the country, but we are all set now for December 9th.

Does anyone know if the oath ceremony generally takes place on the same day, two weeks later, or is simply unpredictable? Anyplace I could check for the situation in Dallas? Also, when exactly can my wife apply for a new passport? On the interview date, or ceremony date, or...? What document(s) will they provide so she can apply for a passport asap?

It says they were processing Feb 23 on August 31 report. This would explain the three month difference.

If level 2 office said that it will be really concerning. This above link is not very helpful

Received an email today, stating that my case was updated (IOE filer, San Diego field office). When I log on to the uscis myaccount website, I do not see any update. When I look at the old USCIS case status page, it tells me that an interview has been scheduled. Kind of frustrating, I guess I have to wait until I get the interview letter in the mail.
