Hey everyone!

I had my interview today (the chart incorrectly says the 15th, it was actually the 12th - I'll fix it when I update with my oath date). It all went smoothly except for one thing! Here's a summary:

It was at the federal building in New York. Interview was at 8:35. I arrived at 8:15, but didn't get called until 9:10. The interviewer went through some travel dates and compared them to passport stamps. He asked some questions that were already in the application (e.g. am I a communist). He asked six civics test questions, had me read one sentence, and write one sentence.

The only problem was that when I arrived he asked me if I had my birth certificate with me (I'm Canadian). I said no (because that wasn't on the list of things they asked me to bring and I obviously had my Canadian passport). Fortunately I had it at home so he told me to drop it by later in the day and he would adjudicate my application today. He gave me a sheet that said I passed everything, another sheet that said to bring the birth certificate, and I was done. All in all, about 20 minutes.

I went home, got the birth certificate, and dropped it off within the hour. They said I would get a letter in the mail with my oath date,

I'm gonna be a citizen! Yay!

I just checked processing times. The N-400 date from VJ users is March 29th but that date hasnt changed much in the last few weeks so i dont know how accurate it is.

I checked the USCIS processing times for field offices and they are processing at 5 months. This was updated June 30,2016. That means all of us who submitted in May should be processed within 5 months (if that is what your field office says like mine does).

Is there a place to check Fingerprint time?

hello everyone!!
I'm new in this forum.
I'm also a may applier.

I've been to my FP appt. may 31,2016 and haven't received any updates since then...

My receipt # starts with IOE. I have 2 coworkers who applied around the same time as me. one applied around mid-april he already finish his journey he swear in last aug.5. another one submitted her n-400 application just 2 days prior my submission of n-400 which was may 12. She too have been interviewed already and just waiting for the letter for the schedule of her swearing in. I notice that there receipt number's first 3 letter is not same as mine but does it matter if it's different?

I'm definitely freaking out. I need somebody to talked to about this
