So is the delay from biometric to inline for interview from the field office? i know the fingerprints are sent to the FBI but that process shouldnt take long so where is the holdup normally?

The delay for the inline for interview would be because of the background check. While in normal cases, background check is done in few days, in some cases it will take weeks or months if the name comes up in their database.

We have had multiple background checks and never had any problem plus my wife has never done anyting wrong so it is curious it is taking longer for her when other people zip right through.

Same boat. Never had any issues with background checks, and still haven't received my inline text.

I am a June filer myself. Has anybody on this forum with an IOE receipt number gotten an inline-for-interview or interview-scheduled notification. Based on my research on the web, no one with an IOE receipt number has gotten farther than the biometrics stage. I would love being proven wrong :-(. I had hoped that with IOE receipt numbers things would go faster than NBC receipt numbers but sadly it appears that the opposite is the case.

I have an IOE receipt number and, alas, I have not gotten beyond the biometrics stage either. I never saw/thought of a relation between the two. One of my students who doesn't have an IOE receipt number nor applied for a DHS account went from biometrics to in-line in 1 week and then to the interview the week after. So everything was done in 2 weeks flat. But here I am 6 weeks later with 0 updates online and nothing in the mail. Hopefully that changes soon! :)

I am a June filer myself. Has anybody on this forum with an IOE receipt number gotten an inline-for-interview or interview-scheduled notification. Based on my research on the web, no one with an IOE receipt number has gotten farther than the biometrics stage. I would love being proven wrong :-(. I had hoped that with IOE receipt numbers things would go faster than NBC receipt numbers but sadly it appears that the opposite is the case.

I do have IOE case number and no updates after biometrics. This week will be the 8th week after biometrics. I would definitely like to know if anyone who got the inline for interview updates have their case number starting with IOE.

2015-06-16: I-130 Sent

2015-08-17: I-130 approved

2015-09-23: NVC received file

2015-10-05: NVC assigned Case number, Invoice ID & Beneficiary ID

2016-06-30: DS-261 completed, AOS Fee Paid, WL received

Just to test the developing theory that cases with IOExxxx are not receiving any updates after biometrics, I checked the USCIS status of various cases by randomly changing last 3 digits of my case number. All the cases i checked have updates like either case was received or biometrics was scheduled not a single one has inline for interview or interview scheduled updates. Is USCIS trying to finish all other cases and then only jump to new online IOE cases???

Well I hope not! I have not done that this time but with my AOS I "checked" other cases by changing the last 3 digits and could generally follow the progress of cases similar to mine. :(
