Hi,

I sponsored my mother's green card. She entered US on Nov 3rd, 2015. So, far, we did not receive the physical card.

When we called USCIS, we were given an IOExxxxxx number on March 24th. When we do the case status, it says Texas service center has been processing it since Dec 4th 2015.

When we do case status, we get the following message that card is being produced ....

============

On December 4, 2015, we began producing your new card for your Form OS155A, Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration, Receipt Number IOExxxxxxxxxxxxx. We will mail your card to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

============

Mail to Texas Service center yielded this response today.

=================

Thank you for contacting the Texas Service Center National Customer Service Center (NCSC) Follow-Up e-mail account.

You or your representative contacted USCIS to notify us that you have not received your Permanent Resident Card (PRC). Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

A search of USCIS records indicates your USCIS Immigrant Fee has been received. Your OS155A, Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration was accepted and is being processed at our intake processing center. Please allow 90 days for the delivery of your Permanent Resident Card. If you do not receive your Permanent Resident Card within the time frame indicated, please contact customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

The address you provided at the time of this inquiry matches the address we have on record.

I sincerely apologize for the delay and any inconveniences it has caused. Thank you for your patience.

=================

My questions are :

1. When can we expect the physical card from USCIS ?

2. What option can we choose on 1-800-375-5283 to reach a human operator to get clarification on the case [if we choose 2->1, we get the read back of case status only]

3. Is there any process to expedite it ?

4. Is she allowed to travel outside US and reenter with the stamp on passport (as close as Canada side of Niagara falls)

Thanks,

Call that number and options are

1- for English

2- for case status/questions

3- for you having a receipt number

You let the recording tell you whatever about your receipt number and then it gives you the option to talk to someone (human) about this if you have more questions.

I just did.

They're not very helpful... But then again I entered only a week ago. They should be able to help you since it has been so much longer.

Keep us posted!

Sorry I made a mistake... Options are 1/2/1 not 1/2/3

Thanks,

I can't answer any of the first 3 questions, but she can travel out of the U.S. on the I-551 stamp in her foreign passport just as if she had the physical GC I believe it is good for 1 year and she entered in Nov 2015.
