I just tried to submit an online service request and received the following error:

 

"Your application or petition is currently within the posted processing times. An inquiry may not be created at this time. Further information about recent processing times can be viewed on the uscis.gov webpage.

If you have other questions regarding your application or petition, contact USCIS Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283 or 1-800-767-1833 (TTY)."

 

This is clearly not right since my case was received on 5/27/16 and biometrics completed on 6/22/16.  Both these dates are more than 6 months old which would make my case fall outside the published processing time for CSC. 

 

Has anyone else had this happen to them?  The processing times have not changed have they?

My USCIS Journey...

 

I had an I-485 filing already submitted through an employment-based application. Post-marriage, I submitted an I-130, which after being approved was interfiled with the existing I-485.

Interfiling/AOS Timeline:

01/03/14 - Day 274 - Interfiling request received by USCIS

04/03/14 - Day 364 - Interfiling service request sent

04/30/14 - Day 391 - Second interfiling service request sent

05/19/14 - Day 410 - Email sent asking for case status update

06/04/14 - Day 426 - Response received that I-485 was transferred to NBC

06/05/14 - Day 427 - I-485 updated to "sent to local office for processing"

07/02/14 - Day 454 - Status changed to testing & interview. Interview date August 4!!

08/04/14 - Day 487 - Mini-Stokes interview. IO intended on approving AOS but the computer did not show I-130 approval. The wait goes on...

08/18/14 - Day 501 - Spoke with Tier 2 IO - said that my I-485 is approved but no card prodn ordered. Asked to call back in 2 weeks if no update.

08/29/14 - Day 512 - Spoke with Tier 2 IO - said that my I-485 was not approved yet, but my file was with an IO for a decision

09/03/14 - Day 517 - Wrote a request to my Congressman asking for assistance

09/09/14 - Day 523 - Status updated to Card/Document Production

09/15/14 - Day 529 - Status update - Card mailed to address on record/permanent resident status registered

09/15/14 - Day 529 - Status update - Card picked up by USPS.

09/16/14 - Day 530 - GREEN CARD RECEIVED IN THE MAIL!!

I-751 Timeline:

05/25/16 - Day 000 - I-751packet mailed to CSC

05/27/16 - Day 002 - I-751 packet received at CSC

06/02/16 - Day 008 - Check cashed

06/03/16 - Day 009 - NOA1 received. Receipt Date: 05/27/16

06/10/16 - Day 016 - Biometrics appointment notice received - appointment date 6/22/16

06/22/16 - Day 028 - Biometrics Appointment - complete

01/04/17 - Day 224 - Status update - ROC Approved!  Card production ordered.

01/09/17 - Day 229 - Status update - Approval notice letter received.  Also received a notification that the card has been mailed.

01/11/17 - Day 231 - Card received in the mail!

N-400 Timeline:

12/02/20 - Day 000 - N-400 application submitted online; case received.

01/06/20 - Day 035 - Biometrics reuse notification received.

04/01/21 - Day 119 - Voluntary withdrawal N-400 Application.

N-400 Resubmission:

11/02/22 - Day 000 - N-400 application submitted online; case received.

11/02/22 - Day 000 - Biometrics reuse notification received.

01/05/22 - Day 064 - Interview scheduled for 02/14/23.

02/14/23 - Day 104 - N-400 Approved! 

08/18/23 - Day 289 - Oath Ceremony notice received - scheduled for 09/29/23.

I just tried and got this error "You must select the Form Number associated to your Receipt Number. The Form Number you selected does not match our records for that Receipt Number" but I selected the i751 so no idea why I can't even submit!

I had that happen to me yesterday.  I had initially used the receipt number from the original Notice of Action and that is the wrong one to use.  Try the number from your Extension letter and it should work.

Put your application date as may 1st and it will work. That's what I did.

They ask people to do that when they forget their application date anyways.

I GOT APPROVED!!!!

 

"On January 4, 2017, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number WAC***, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

 

Guys you have to call them and create service requests like I did. One week after I called I got approved!!!!!!

I GOT APPROVED AS WELL!!  Just got the text message.  Card ordered on 1/4/17 so I hope to receive it early next week I imagine.  So glad this big hurdle is out of the way.  Next up, citizenship!  Though no rush on that.

 

Good luck to everyone else that is waiting.  I'm sure yours isn't too far away.

Hi,

I just found out the value thing in this forum with I-751 May 2016 Filers. Could you guys check in conversations between applications each other during from page 1 to page 55, we can see everyone who got some comments or posted about case approval or new updates are applications in CSC, almost only everybody applied in CSC get approval and were leaving some messages on forum. How about you guys May 2016 Filters in VSC? Have you ever call to customer service or submit an inquiry as well? Should we make an forum for applications in VSC nowadays? We should do something better than sitting to see everyone are leaving their messages and comments. Because we live in the same country and should be treated in fairy also. Could you explain why CSC process the form I-751 around 7 months but VSC take longer than other center? The USCIS officers and FBI, They have learned and graduated from different schools or were trained from different parts of country or what's wrong? Because we live in the same country in the one boat. If USCIS officers in VSC they are very busy for many applications, so can they transfer some cases to CSC or not?

Please help to tell me something better than see your calendar everyday!

I have field a joint i751with my wife on may 5th but never heard anything back from uscis . man just and tired of waiting.do think you think i should file a service request ?

Am i the only one is waiting ?

I would suggest submitting a service request. I just submitted mine and hoping that would help move my case. I filed my I-751 last May 2nd and  biometrics done but haven't heard anything since.

No, we submitted May 2nd.  Haven't heard a thing, due to my work taking me overseas we just happen to be home and scheduled an appointment due to the travel document not matching the extension letter date.  Anyway, she gave us a stamp in the passport extending our I-751 letter another 2 1/2 months as we don't know yet our next return. Obviously if they need an interview we will fly back for that.  Hope to hear something about the greencard soon though.  We also submitted an online inquiry about our application.  Said we will hear back by January 21st if I recall.  Long time but not much we can do.

Filled AOS/AP/EAD: 2014-04-09

Biometrics: 2014-05-08

AOS approved for interview: 2014-06-24

AOS Interview: 2014-07-30, Approved.

GC received: 2014-08-11
ROC Sent: 2016-04-29

ROC packet received at California Service Center: 05-02-16

NOA1 (Received 05-13-16): Letter dated 05-02-16
ROC Biometrics: 2016-06-02

I submitted an online request, as they RECEIVED my I-751 on June 3 - though it was submitted in May 2016 (can't recall exact date). Either way - my case is now outside of the processing times for CSC.

 

I called the National Customer Service Center (1 800 375 5283), and it asks you to enter (not say) your receipt number. As my receipt number includes letters, and the keypad only includes numbers, I could not complete my call (their phone system ended the call).

 

1) Is that the correct number to call? If not, which number should I call?

2) Is a call going to get me information faster than submitting online - with adjusted submission date in May to ensure my request goes through?

Applied for Naturalization based on 3-year Residency 

July 05, 2017 (Day 00) -  Submitted N400 Application, filed via USPS to Phoenix Lockbox

July 10, 2017 (Day 05) - NOA received

July 12, 2017 (Day 07) -  Check is cashed by USCIS

July 19, 2017 (Day 14) - Biometrics appointment letter mailed

August 02, 2017 (Day 28) - Biometrics appointment at Seattle Field Office

August 28, 2017 (Day 54) - Case is "in line" for an interview"

August 28, 2018 (Day 419) - Interview is scheduled

October 4, 2018 (Day 462) - Citizenship Interview AND Oath (offered same day oath by ISO in Seattle, WA)
