I wonder what's their criteria for approving some cases way before the others.

Probably totally random.

But as I've seen people who moved too many times end up having interviews, maybe the number of addresses you lived in plays a role into the quickier approvals too.

I've always imagined our files as like a giant pile of Jenga bricks. Or more likely just a pile. They reach across the desk and grab one. Any one. At each stage of this process responses, approvals, RFEs have always seemed completely random. Judging by the sequence of approvals the months get mixed up to. There is certainly no appearance of a system based on FIFO. It's not like there's even some appearance of selection based on "difficulty".

I could imagine a scoring system whereby they could "risk code" our applications and rip through the "low risk" ones to get them off the pile. A system ? what am I smoking...

My receipt notice is may 10th and I've tried to submit a service request since it's been 7 months (and the USCIS website lists the processing time as 6 months)

This is what I got:

"Your application or petition is currently within the posted processing times. An inquiry may not be created at this time. Further information about recent processing times can be viewed on the uscis.gov webpage."

Keep it up buddy, I haven't heard anything either and I am not comfortable calling their helpdesk. I am still waiting for my case inquiry. But I am sure we will get approved in no time.

According to someones analysis I found on this forum: Most cases for March were approved around the 7.3 month mark, 42% of the cases for march took more than 7.5 months. So we are still within those dates; no need to panic just yet.

Regardless of whatever other people think in this forum, I am with you that this is a very stressful process, not because of the validity of your marriage but because your future depends on a bureaucrat seating somewhere that doesn't even know you and it literally has your future in his hands...

Bottom line, we can only call and wait, and we are doing both, dont worry about it.

My approval letter came in the mail today!! I filed on may 10th with a divorce waiver. I was very scared because I expected an RFE due to the waiver but got approved right away :) also, my status was not updated online so needless to say I almost #### my pants when I saw a uscis letter in the mailbox, since I was expecting an RFE. Today is a good day. My boyfriend and I got our offer on a house accepted and my greencard was extended :) good luck to anyone still waiting!

Hi, your status update online or still the same?

I got my approval today!

I checked the status at 4pm this afternoon and it said "your case is received" and later at 6pm it said "New card is being produced". Quite happy and relieved! :)

I don't think I am listed in the Google document, but here are my details:

Send package: May 7th 2016 to CSC

NOA Recieved: May 16th 2016

Finger printing: Aug 8th 2016

Approval: Dec 16th 2016

Card delivery: Waiting

Previous Visa types: F1 Visa Student (MS & PhD, 2004-2012) => H1B Work visa (2012) => Green card through wife (2014) => Conditional removal (2016). I don't know if this matters, but I had send documents related to this as well.

I will post once I receive the card.

Meanwhile, Good luck and have a happy holidays. May God send more good news to all....
