Requesting more evidence. Now I have to research what else to give, because we gave them everything we had.

We sent:

Electric bill with both our names for 3 months prior to application

IRS tax joint tax returns for 2015 +16

Employer heath insurance form 1095.c - we get it via my work

Dental insurance card copy of both sides- both our names

My work- benefits- tuition remmision for spouse, via HR

Flights for both of us back and forth to scotland and domestic too

3 pages of photos

Not sure what else to send now. Will have to call them up. Unless anyone here has advice.

That stinks!

I'm in a similar position regarding the house. I submitted a notarized letter explaining why the house was only in my name. Of course I can't find it now :-(

Basically, I stated that I purchased my home prior to meeting my husband, and I explained why I haven't added him to the deed. I then reiterated that my home is the only address my husband has resided in since coming to the US.

I think we also included some of my husband's pay stubs which showed his address (his driver's license hadn't come in by the time we filed). Good luck!!!

5/21/2016: Mailed I-751 packet to CSC

5/23/2016: NOA1

7/29/2016: Biometrics Appointment

11/22/2016: I-751 Approved!

I was reading your list and thinking, our list is very similar to yours. Didn't put her on the house, but we began the process just as we were filing.

A couple of things we submitted that I don't see on your list - Life insurance beneficiary forms, meetings with financial planner, purchase contract for our new car, 3 years of taxes - 2013, 2014, and 2015. Family photos from a commercial photographer. Letters from MD and dentist. EOB's (explanation of benefits) for medical/dental visits. Train trips & plane trips (vacations). 1 joint bank account (others are separate). There's more but I can't think of it right now.

However, we have not yet been approved (knock on wood) as of 11/29

Hubs is looking it up now on the forum..

one thing we can get is affidavits from people we know, there is a form to download on here that he just found.

Forgot to add to the list that we already sent: confirmation of enrollment in benefits from my HR listing him as beneficiary for life insurance. Also the mid-year election form for insurance 2014 to add him to my plans.

Everything else that is on the suggested list we already gave if we could. Really regretting not getting a joint bank account now. Just didn't bother because he didnt want to drive here yet and they wanted state id /driving license and we didn't have it at the time- still don't actually. Another thing we could add in when we send stuff apart from a bucket load of affadavits is copies of all the direct deposits he has made to my bank account.

Thanks for the idea on the notarized letter about the house- and the pay stubs idea.. def can do that this time.

If anyone else has any other ideas Please let us know! :)

Do a little research on the thread. That will help too.
