any facts behind that to suggest it speeds up the process?

Not that I know of. They won't touch the case for another few months, so as long as the biometrics is done when they get to it, it doesn't matter when it's done. Early bio is just for convenience sake if it's more convenient for you to go on a certain day than what they scheduled you for.

Well I'm 99 days in already. Time really flies when you're waiting on the USCIS :-)

I guess like most others I've put it out of my mind for now. I'm not expecting anything until after TG at the earliest. See you guys later in the year - have a good summer (what's left of it) :dancing:

Completed my Biometric yesterday.

Two hours to go there, 5 mins of appointment, then two and half hours to get back. Can't complain however; especially considering how desperately I was waiting for the appointment.

Now comes another spell of waiting.....

No, i only got one letter, with no mention on it about my children either. I will be travelling back from London in Aug with them after all of our GC's expire so I will be bringing that letter with us and assuming that it covers all of us because it is all one application.

Hi Kiwinyc , just wanted to ask you if you had returned from London did you had problems entering not having extension letter for your two children. Did the letter for you worked for them too. I am still concerned not having one for my child and the GC expires tomorrow. Please share your experience if you have time. Thank you

I will update you in a few days! We're due to fly back in on Tues 8/16. Our cards expired on 7/25. I have the extension letter and the biometrics appointment letters for each of us stamped with proof of attendance that we completed our biometrics appointments back in June on me. I don't anticipate any issues and don't see why there should be any.

When we came from Israel, nobody even asked us for the extension letter, neither there at check in, nor here at the point of entry. They just looked at expired GC, looked something up on the computer, and that's it. Your mileage may vary of course, especially at foreign airports at check in.

We went to Canada a few weeks ago, came back and we handed the extension letter to the border guy and all he said was "What's this?", looked at it and handed it back. Then we were on our way.

I have filled the form I 751 and sent it already to USCIS. But today I was looking into this form again and I saw that I did not put my wife's A Number. My wife is a citizen since 2013 she has her certificate of naturalization and at the beginning I did not think that I have to put her A number. Now I am very confused, Do I have to put her A number or not? Are they going to dismiss my form for that?

Hello! - Yes we returned on Tuesday night. They did ask to look at the extension letter at our departure airport (London Heathrow, BA terminal 5) and I showed it upon entry at Austin airport as I announced upon arrival at the desk that our GC's had expired and that I had an extension letter to show them. They did also look at the three stamped letters showing we had attended our Biometrics appointments but there really wasn't any doubt, they politely looked at everything I was throwing at them!

Anyway, my point is that despite my children not being listed on the extension letter (which is your concern) it was understood that as minors they were included under the same, single application number & letter and there were no problems with this. Take your biometric appointment letters along with you in addition if you want further documentation for piece of mind. .
