Received my NOA1 dated May 13, I tried to check the status online it say's " does not recognize the receipt number entered " Do i need to wait a few weeks before checking?

ok so we are already thinking ahead to next year when DH can apply for citizenship, it looks like he can apply for citizenship 90 days prior to his 3rd year anniversary and that it only takes a few months for it to happen? Does that mean that chances are good that by Fall 2017 or by year end 2017 he should be a citizen? We would like to petition his mom for her green card and that can only happen after his citizenship so just trying to plan ahead

If you're using the NOA1 receipt number, that won't work. Wait until you receive the biometrics letter. At the lower right corner it should say "Application Number 2" and the number will start with EAC.

We just received our NOA1 on the 23rd, we're waiting for the biometrics letter now. I would refer to the Google doc sheet for average time frames (since CSC and VSC operate at different speeds).
