The only letter I received is the one that reminds me that my 90 days window is about to open and I need to file ROC...is that the one? When is your GC expiring?

Oh wow...I did not receive any notification that my 90 day window was about to open. I just counted backwards on the calendar haha.

Did you get the reminder through email or through the mail? I have friends who went through the same process a year and a half ago and they also received notices. USCIS doesn't seem to like us

we never got any reminder notice in the mail. we just knew we were inside the 90 day window so we filed. But then again we moved in March so maybe the mail is delayed due to the mail forwarding?

We got it through the mail. I set myself a Facebook event reminder back in 2014 so I knew when to mail the packet lol

Did you both file an I-865 and AR-11 with USCIS? That will notify them that you've moved. It's likely a moot point now that the I-751 has been filed with the corrected address (unless I'm wrong and that still needs filed?). That might be why you didn't receive anything....? But then again, USCIS doesn't appear consistent with their notifications - go figure!

Yes this is the 3rd move we made since DH arrived in US and he changed his address online each time. This move was finally into our own house that we bought (and just in time to send our documents to USCIS proving we are "really married and committed) haha

I can see the RFE now "prove you didn't purchase this house just to circumvent immigration laws"! I kid, I kid! No RFE's for any of us!! :dancing:

This just confirms that they're not consistent with the notices they send people.

haha, I'm sure some people probably have money (and time) to buy a house together to circumvent immigration laws!

Not us! We are so happy we were finally able to purchase our own house (with enough room for inlaws from India to stay for 4-6 months at a time!) My MIL stayed with us for 4 months last year and actually LOVED being with us which pushed us to find and buy a good home that we can all be comfortable in.

I figured since we have no child together to "prove" our relationship, a house is the next best thing :)

Congrats on the new home btw! It's so exciting to be able to do what you want with your very own space :-)

I closed on my house the month after I met my husband. I submitted a notarized statement from myself explaining why my name is the only name on the title & loan because we have no lease obvy. His name is on the electric bill among other things so I hope they don't get in a stink over anything!

Our package weighed 4lbs 1 oz!
