Quick question to anyone who received their cards and live in apartments-- I know the card comes in priority package, did usps leave it in mail box or at your door?

We filed May 22 @ VSC, NOA1 date is May 25.  Looks like we've got a year to wait

My case was received on May 19, 2016.

Fingerprinting on June 23, 2016.

I am still wait too. I don't see any new updates until today.

My case was received on 5/16/2016 and biometrics were taken on 6/21/2016. I've been waiting patiently for the whole month of May, but now I am kind of losing my hope and worried if my files just went missing :-(

Please wait until July 4.

After that, you would be worried. It's alright now. My case was received on 05/19/2016. It's fine.

Thanks! Crossing fingers for both of us. I really believe we are the last few May 2016 cases that are still waiting for approval.

Why is July 4? It's just because it's Independance Day?

Yeah, I should be worried by then because I would have an expired driver's license.

That's why. We will be alright. They need to take their time. We are on the line; one by one.

Because we cannot do anything right now; keeping to wait !

I just apply my N-400 form today.

Good luck to your naturalization application!

I filed mine at the end of March and got biometrics taken in April. Haven't heard anything since that. 

Hopefully we'll have better luck in N-400 and don't need to wait that long AGAIN.

Make sure you call when you receive a message about your card being mailed. I have my card returned because they omitted the unit number on the letter. I found out 2 days later when I called and got the tracking number. I'm waiting for USCIS to receive it and resend it. They ask that I call back when they receive the card to put in a request. I have already submitted one online and will call his week to follow up. Crazy!! I got the approval letter without problem, not sure why the unit number was omitted on the envelope with the green card.

Oh my... I called them immediately right after I saw your comment. I was thinking the same--if i got my approval letter there shouldnt be an issue with mailing--guess I was wrong. my status changed to "mailed" last Wed, and I've been out of town for work, informed delivery has not shown anything from them so again, panicking...

 

How they not putting a unit # down is beyond understanding to me, I mean yeah they have millions of immigrants and understaffed but this is an identification card! I wish they could treat it with a little more discretion..

Your N-400 will not be progressing if you I-751 is not adjudicated.. that being said, it might force them to look into your I-751 application. Have you tried calling them or opening an inquiry?

Did you get a tracking number when you called?  I got one and that's how I found out the mail was not delivered. I called the post office 2 days after they tried to deliver it and it was too late then; they have already sent it back. The card was actually mailed 2 or 3 days after the email notification. I should have called then to get the tracking #. But well; hope hey can ship it back soon

I had to schedule for call back since all T2 officers were busy, then I couldn't take the call... I will probably call back tomorrow. Ok, thanks for the info! I guess it might take longer than 5 days to get it from the day status changed? 

 

Did you contact them again to let them know of the situation? I hope they are quick enough to find out that they forgot to put down the unit # and ship it right back, without you having to do anything.

I did call them and they said they couldn't submit a service request as my case is still within normal processing time frame (the VSC is processing April cases based on USCIS website). I'm not surprised to hear all that and I really didn't expect to hear anything useful from USCIS (after all these years' waiting). The only thing I could do is to get an infopass and get a stamp. But we're living two hours from the field office and I have to take time off from work. My employer hasn't asked me for any proof of green card extension (they didn't ask last year), so I am debating to schedule an infopass this month or wait for next month. Geez, I really hate their low work efficiency.
