Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. the main issue for me has been that we still havent completely settled in US. we have mainly been living together in UK- We have been coming over here and filing joint tax returns etc but most of our evidence i.e. utility bills and card statements are from UK- does that make a difference? do they only require US based evidence for good faith marriage or one can include documentary evidence from other countries as well?

P.S. Sorry- the letter actually stated that they will waive off the interview requirement if sufficient evidence is provided.

Ok, that is potentially a bigger problem. I mean, the whole point of being a US legal permanent resident is that you are a US resident. So yes, they're looking for not just proof of a good faith marriage, but evidence that you are in fact, living in the US. If you're not, you'll need to explain that to them (probably at the interview). Surely you can understand that if you aren't permanently residing in the US, it doesn't really make sense for them to approve you as a US permanent resident.

Agreed. This could be as big of a problem as a fake marriage. At this point, it seems like they're only interested in the validity of your marriage (sounds real to me) but the evidence you provide may call into question your "non resident" status.

Yes, I understand but I had a re-entry permit and have been filing our joint tax returns in US as resident and paying taxes. Hope that shows our intent to settle here in long run. my work situation and some family commitments didnt let me settle straightaway hence why I got the re-entry permit.

Re-entry permit, still working abroad? Wow...sounds like you've been out of the US for most of the period of your conditional residency. Does your tax returns/transcripts reflect any US based employment? You could have a major problem on your hands. Let's hope that they stick to trying to validate your marriage and don't switch to trying to validate your intentions on living in the US permanently. This could become a bigger hurdle than proving your marriage is real.

Good Luck!

They didn't tell me anything. It would infuriate me if it took another year because we had to re-do our biometrics because they decided to toss them out. I called them last week and the lady who I talked to said that if I do not receive it by May 20th (that is my NOA date) to give them a call back. I will continue to call them until I get that approval. I do have an infopass scheduled for May 17th to get the stamp, so I will ask then what the heck it's happening. I know some people will say "what's the rush, you are a LPR, so you don't actually need the card" but this approval and their laziness is holding up my citizenship application, and that's just upsetting.

I just came back from the 2nd biometrics. It was so pointless. The agent was very confused (well he also couldn't tell if my green card was expiring in 2016 or 2018...). I had a code 1 (which means only fingerprints - no photo or signature) but he messed up and did it all... He didn't know why I was asked to have my biometrics done twice. I guess I am going to start calling... Did you hear anything about your case?

He is a US citizen, lived in the UK, now moved back to the US. I am French, we met in 2010 in the UK and got married in March 2013 in France.

For those who anxiously open their mailbox everyday and end up feeling disappointed, USPS came up with new service called "Informed Delivery" which scans the front page of your incoming mails before they get delivered to you. This can at least let you know what you are expecting before you open your mailbox.

Nothing yet. I'm gonna be pretty bummed if they can't tell me anything on Wednesday when I go in for the stamp. I do want to have the ROC approved, but only so they can start my citizenship application. My guess is that, in my case as well as yours, they are stuck in background checks...which I don't understand why it's taking so long. Hopefully we both hear something by the end of this month.

For the person who is in charge for the spreadsheet. Can you make column named "Date i-751 mailed" to be in chronological order please? It's easier to see till which date USCIS is working at the moment. Also can all the column be smaller? It's easier to have all information on one page instead of scrolling across. Please and thank you!

p.s. It's my OCD, can't help it :)

Those of you who have been approved, do you mind sharing what visa you adjusted from?

I am wondering if maybe former K-1s are approved quicker than others? I adjusted from F1 and we are still waiting

I doubt they are approving based on the type of visa you entered US. I'm a K1 as well and still waiting at CSC, while almost everyone else has been approved. Most likely they are doing the criminal checks.

Unbelievable, I received a letter from USCIS Vermont asking us to sign the forms that we supposedly did not sign. Guess what? Those forms belong to another person. Petitioner's name is not me.

This is horrible on so many levels! Makes you wonder how many of these mistakes they make and how it impacts processing times etc. whoever did this need some form of reprimand. This is bad!!!

~AOS : 09/11/2014 - 2 YR Green card received!.
