Slight correction to our dates for the table. Packet was received by CSC on 05/04, NOA1 date was 05/06, received the NOA1 today.

04/01/2014 DS-261 Available and completed

04/07/2014 AOS and IV bills paid

04/09/2014 Sent AOS package

04/10/2014 AOS package delivered to NVC

04/17/2014 NVC says "one piece of mail" regarding case received, can't specify which one AOS or IV

I'm about ready to submit my forms although a couple things have me hung up and I think someone here will know the answer.

We didn't change my wife's last name to make things easier paperwork wise across the board. So she goes by her maiden name, although sometimes, like the gym membership or Facebook she just adds my last name to the end. Is this grounds for writing it as other names used if it's not on any of her official identification papers?

Lastly, I put a couple one liner explanations on the cover page for: 1. Why there are no utilities in her name. Reason being that I've already lived at this home and left everything as is, why go through the hassle of changing all of that if its working fine? Also, 2. My health insurance plan is a special rate grandfathered before Obamacare so I got her an individual plan. Is it okay to explain this on the cover page, or not mention it at all? Not sure how big of a deal they make of utilities and health insurance being joint. I'm sure I'm not the only one that would pay more for the sake of having both names lol

From the USCIS webpage regarding G1145:

This service is only available for forms filed at our three Lockbox facilities located in Lewisville, Texas; Chicago, Illinois; and Phoenix, Arizona.

I had mine ready to go but I noticed that it wouldn't work since I was sending to CSC.

We sent our package to CSC on 13 May (day 90 before my GC expires :-)). Received on 18 May.

Our case is complicated by us living a mobile lifestyle. We don't have an apartment or utility bills. We are also in Alaska for the summer and are not planning to leave here until after my two year GC expires. Let's see if they can manage to get the NOA1 to the right address and arrange the biometrics appointment to the right state!

BTW when we entered Alaska in April by land, USCIS took my fingerprints and a photo. They said they do this periodically for people on a CGC.

Check not yet cashed but still early days.

Is it me or is CSC taking a heck of a long time to send out those NOA1 - Just looking at previous months even last month everyone seemed to get them within a few days but man it feels like it's taking forever this month
