A way to save N-400 form?

Hi Forum Members,

Is there a way to save a partially filled out N-400 form? The PDF they offer is editable, but once you close the browser any information you entered goes away. Once you're done you can print to PDF which will save the completed form, but the printed version will not be editable.

Are there any ways to save your work and complete or edit later?

Either way the PDF is not saveable.

Step 1. Download pdf file to desktop.

Step 2. Close your browser.

Step 3. Open pdf file on your desktop (pdf file you have downloaded).

It is editable and saveable.

12/21/2017 (Thursday) Check was cashed. NOA-1 (I-797C) was sent to me by USCIS via USPS.

12/26/2017 (Tuesday) NOA-1 (I-797C) was received.

06/07/2018 (Thursday) NOA-2 was APPROVED. 172 days.

06/11/2018 (Monday) NOA-2 was delivered by USPS to my home address.

06/22/2018 (Friday) Our case was sent to the U.S. Department of State (DOS) for visa processing (NVC)

07/27/2018 (Friday) NVC welcome letter with Case number and Invoice ID number was received by email. (51 days from NOA 2 and 225 days total)

07/27/2018-07/31/2018 NVC website was down

07/31/2018 Fees paid.

08/08/2018 ALL forms and documents were submitted (uploaded) to NVC website.

08/14/2018 CASE COMPLETED (DOCUMENTARILY QUALIFIED)

09/19/2018 Got email with VISA INTERVIEW DATE

02/27/2016 NOTICE DATE for Fingerprints (Biometrics) appointment.
 
03/02/2016 Fingerprints (Biometrics) appointment letter was sent to me by USCIS via USPS.

03/07/2016 Fingerprints (Biometrics) (early walk-in).

I figured what the issue was. I was opening it with preview on my mac. Apparently N - 400 is not mac friendly, and the only way to open and save properly is with adobe acrobat reader, which I needed to download and install on my mac. Seriously, this is some outdated 20 century technology. Last time I had to use adobe acrobat reader was in 1999. That and having to use only internet explorer for AR-11 filing...

The Form N-400 was secured by it's creator USCIS to not allow saving.  It's 20 pages long so do yourself a favor and sign up for the USCIS Online account and fill out and submit the form online.  Doing it this way allows you to fill out and save as you get more required info.  If you don't sign in at least every 30 days it will be deleted.
