BFE! the *uncool* side - MA & RI border, but my family has 40 acres out there and I guess as parents age someone should be closer...blah blah blah.

hey if my folks had 40 acres i'd wanna be closer too

downside is not only am I not the family type of girl but its in the middle of a state forest area and its a very long uphill windy 1/8 mile driveway to even get up there! i remember having to sled down in my tabogan just to catch the bus for school and parking our cars at the bottom.

it's hubby's idea. but hey - quiet forest, or underwater home -

Providence is about 25 miles and Worcester even. I asked my parents who is actually moving in there since there are loads of new HUGE homes being built. He stated what he knows is people who are work-from-home types who just travel for their jobs, like subcontractors. Well, since the hubby works from home and just flies out weekly to whatever site, sounds about ok with us. but I have to say Tampa airport is the BEST.airport.ever. would be hard to give that up.

Yeah if you have a traveling job, a good airport is worth a lot. Last thing you need is an airport with expensive or hard to find parking, or lots of late flights, or just not enough flights, etc....

I'm CDN so, I'm LOVING the snow.. sorry guys!! But I really wanted a good old fashioned snowstorm this winter, and Canada this year could not provide.. so I'm glad that NEM came through for us Finally!!!

ON that note.. I was in a 1/4 tonne truck (passenger) today driving on I-84 and a TRANSPORT TRUCK hit us from behind!! What a PONK! The driver in the vehicle I was driving in stopped the truck, and went out to look if there was any damage or anything, and the transport driver didn't even get out of the truck!! Anyway, it was just a bump, and no damage or anything.. but still crazy!! I've never heard tell of playing bumber cars with a semi before!

Hey, I've actually lived in Alberta--similar to Coloroado but with lower-still temps.

(and, unfortunately, the dry snow of Colorado is much nicer than the wet, slushy stuff on the northeast)
