I have to have a joint sponsor for my I864.

So here's the question:

My joint sponsor is also married. So would she put on the I864 question one option 1e? (I am the first of two joint sponsors?) Then her husband would put also option 1e (I am the second of 2 joint sponsors?)

Also... the spouse of my joint sponsor would fill out the I864A whereas my friend (the original joint sponsor) would do the regular I864 correct?

Now, last question: my jointsponsor got married a few years ago but never changed her name on her passport (but it is changed on her driver's lisence). Would it be better for her to provide birth certificate?

THANK YOU SO MUCH

My joint sponsor and her husband file "married, filing jointly" so I read that since they are financially connected, the spouse MUST file an I864A so that he signs and gives his "permission" or "acknowledges" that his wife is becoming the financial sponsor for someone.

That's what I did for my AOS and haven't gotten any RFEs we use my husbands father and mother so the father did an I864 and mother did I864a but the father buts only joint sponsor since his wife is a household member it's so confusing I literally had to read it 100 times !!

Hold onto your hat its going to be a bumpy ride!!

but don't worry you'll get through it :luv:
