Hi,All.

Well,My Fiance got her packet 3 a week ago.Since then, she's ALL OVER the walls stressed out. Anyway,my question: At what point after she completes all her exams, and going for all the documents, does she schedule for an interview? Does she have to take all her paperwork with her to the interview? OR,does she submit that first, then, wait for the Embassy to schedule her interview? By the way,not sure if it matters, but, she's in Romania. Thank to all in advance.

Once she gets packet 3 returned, the consulate will schedule the interview. At least that's how we've done things. My fiancé has returned packet 3 and has already had his medical. He's gathered his documents and is waiting for the ones I need to send him. We're waiting for packet 4, which will have his interview date. Hope this helps. :)

Keith got packet 3 and got everything together--medical, forms from me and my Dad (co-sponser), and then faxed ONE SINGLE form to the embassy. I can't remember the number/name, but that's all he did. Something saying that he was ready for the interview. The embassy then sent his interview date (packet 4). We kept all the forms and everything (and did an absurd amount of photocopying in case they wanted to keep everything) and brought them to the interview with us. (Lemme tell you how fun it was taking chest x-rays onto the Tokyo subway and trying not to bend them  )

good luck with it all! :luv:

Hi

The letter with packet 3 should state which forms need to be returned and which need to be taken to the interview with all the supporting evidence. Medical usually has to be booked before the interview. Embassy will schedule an interview once the packet 3 is returned with the checklist.

Good Luck

Even though it seems a lot of paperwork - it really is very simple. Talk to her and have her understand that she should take it one document at a time and get it done slowly - no need to hurry - e.g. get the police clearance one day, vaccines another day; birth certificate another day; passport photos another day; etc. etc. It just seems complicated but its all really very simple. Good Luck
