how to check for the scan date ?

Call them and ask if they received your documents. the date they say they received it is your scan date.

N-400/Citizenship process:

Applied online: 9/06/2020

NOA1 received: 9/07/2020

Biometric: reuse letter received 1/19/2021

Interview: 5/12/2021 - APPROVED!!! 😃

Oath Ceremony: 6/04/2021

You're right in that NVC does only work Monday - Friday and has weekends off. Every agent i've spoken with (trust me when i say i have spoken with a large number of them) has said it's calendar days n

right. count calendar days from when they say scan date. you very well could get case complete either Wednesday or Thursday of this week! Hoping for a smooth CC for you!!!

how to check for the scan date ?

Your scan date is the day nvc receive your doc. You can call nvc and ask for a scan date, that's how I got mine.

Around 3-5 days after the NVC receives your AOS and IV packages, they will send you an email with an attachment on it, in the first sentence of the attachment it will say:

"The National Visa Center (NVC) received your documents on DDMMMYY..."

That is your official scan date.

Hi guys,

In what order does everything in the AOS packet have to be in when you have a sponsor as well? Right now I have it as:

-cover letter I wrote

-AOS bar-coded cover sheet

-I-864 (petitioner)

-letter explaining why I didn't file for taxes

-2015 W-2 form

-current letter of employment

-pay stubs

-I-864 (sponsor)

-2013 taxes

-2014 taxes

-2015 taxes

-photocopy of certificate of naturalization

-pay stubs

Is this fine? Am I missing anything? Help! haha thanks in advance!

August 21, 2012: We started Dating
September 13, 2014: We Got engaged!
December 26, 2014: Got Married!

Hi all. I was able to get my case number and IIN number by phone. I was also able to get the 261 done. Upon printing comfirmation. I have 2 bar codes at bottom of page one is my case number. is the other my A number?

and how long by experience did it take before AOS can be paid?

Hmm, that's odd. I called and verified that they got my mail. However, I never got an email like you're describing.

Not everyone gets the email. NVC is good at not being consistent. If you call and they confirm then they have it then they have it and go with the date they give you. That way, if you get CC earlier, it'll be a nice surprise for you.

IF you do get an email, it'll be a few days after they scanned it.

Also you should confirm with them that they have yours and your spouse's email address.

Scan Date: April 22nd :) ...... no check lists please :wacko:

I know this is difficult, but I will keep trying. It will work because, this distance is nothing compared to our love. :wub:

10/2013 we met at church in USA, through some common friends. We became friends.

06/07/2014 we went to our first date. :dancing: Why did we take so long to go out? :ranting:

06/22/2014 I said YES.. I want to be your girlfriend... :luv:

07/16/2014 I had to come back to Colombia because my program was over :cry:

10/10/2014 My love met me in Colombia to spend my birthday weekend with me. We got engaged (L)

02/17/2015 - 03/09/2015 He came back to Colombia to visit me and met my family. :star:

05/12/2015 We couldn't stand the distance, so he decided to move here with me. :wub:

05/28/2015 We got married at the notary. 06/06/2015 We got married at church :D

12/03/2016  Moved back to the USA. 🥰

08/2020 Became a Citizen. 🇱🇷

 

08/2020 Applied to bring my mom. ❤️

02/28/2022 went to pick my mom to the airport in Florida 🤩

My civil documents were sent to NVC from last week Tuesday I still haven't received an email to confirm my scan date, however I called NVC today and ivwas told that my civil documents were scan yesterday!
