Scan date is the date NVC receives and scans the barcode on your coversheet into their system. Basically it's the date they they acknowledge they got their documents. You can call and ask them for the scan date.

Hi guys!

Happy new month! So I have a few questions. I paid the AOS fee on Friday and during the weekend I went about to finishing getting ready the AOS and IV packets to mail in hopefully Tuesday morning. I just want to make sure I'm clear, so for the IV packet I just print out one more AOS cover letter right? They won't checklist me saying I put the wrong cover letter? (I'm terrified of getting a checklist lol) Also, the letter for the AOS packet explaining why I didn't file for taxes doesn't have to be notarized right? I have everything ready to go I just want to be clear about it all so that I don't make mistakes before I send it. I'm eager to send it already haha

As for the cover sheet :

We only used the original document cover sheet that came with the NVC letter and put the AOS and supporting documents in the exact order they were listed on there.

No problems, no checklist :-)

Don't worry about a checklist for coversheet. you won't get one for that. Yes, you can print two (2) copies of the AOS document cover sheet and just either use Adobe Acrobat and delete the word AOS from one of them, or use white out and white out the AOS from one of them. that AOS is the only difference between the two cover sheets. NVC uses that to scan and inform their system that they received something from you.

you have nothing to worry about for deleting the letters AOS from one of them. just make sure you write your case number at the top of each and every piece of document you are sending them.

I'm sorry to hear about your baby! I hope everything turns out well.

Did you call them to check on your case? I hate to say it but when I didn't see the 3rd N/A on the CEAC portal by the 30th day, I called them to find out I had a checklist. I hope that's not the case for you.
