Good luck everyone!

Our I130 just got approved on Friday we are hopping to have our case number from the NVC end of this month. So we can start with the process. We are filing from abroad. The only thing I am worried about is proving domocile since I have been living abroad since 2008. I have read the NVC Process Wiki many many times and will read it again.

Hubby got the email today (Sunday) with our scan date (for checklist)...so the count begins from the 12th. I'm excited because I'm positive we're getting a cc this time!

You got a checklist for what exactly?

Hi guys,

I am new this forum and just started reading all the helpful tips you guys are sharing about your case status and process (Thank you so much, great help!!).

My case just got at the NVC stage and currently at the step of sending AOS & IV documents. But wanted to ask a quick question (Any help would be greatly appreciated).

NVC has sent me an email with long list of supporting documents required (see below). NVC PROCESS WIKI doesn't mention any of these documents needed such as:

Proof of relationship ( I thought this was needed at the interview only)?
Proof of U.S. status
Social Security Earnings Statement
Proof of assets
They have asked me to place this sheet (below) on the top of supporting documents but now that I have completed the step for AOS document cover sheet and IV Document cover sheet, that also asks to be placed on the top. Now I'm confused which one to place on top??
This cover sheet is for case XXXXXXXXX.When you send your documents to us, place them in the order
shown below, and put this cover sheet on top. Mark the checkbox [ X ] under Enclosed if you are sending the
document. Mark the checkbox [ X ] under Unavailable if you cannot obtain the document. Mark the checkbox [
X ] under Not Applicable if the document is not applicable or not needed for your case.
Order Document Enclosed Unavailable Not Applicable

This checklist document is a stock one sent to persons with different visa categories. There are things on it which may not be relevant to your case e.g. if your documents are all in English you do not need translations or if you are petitioning for spouse, petitioner documents would not apply to you etc. This is why you have the option to put a mark under not applicable. Send the documents that are. All the best.

Guys I am really sad. Looks like either USCIS or NVC have misplaced my case file. After speaking to USCIS who are adamant the file was sent to NVC and NVC saying they haven't received.. And after I sent NVC a copy of my NOA2, I am in limbo. Is this normal? And here I thought NVC will be quick.
