Okay i got an email saying they received our case on may 9th and they started the process. Received this email on 12th may. So i dont know what will be the scan date.

"The National Visa Center (NVC) received your documents on 09-MAY-16. We are experiencing a high volume of incoming mail at this time. Please allow 30 days from the date we received your mail for the NVC to review your documents. We are diligently working to reduce our review time and appreciate your patience. The NVC will notify you after our review if there is additional information required or if we are able to schedule your case for an interview overseas."

Ok so now I am very confused and even more concerned. I got the same email as everyone else except I got two emails not one. One says they received my documents on April 14th and then the other says they received my documents on May 7th! How is this even possible!? When I called NVC weeks ago they said they had scanned my documents on the 15th. Is it possible that they scanned the AOS and IV on separate dates and does that then mean I have to wait until 30 days from May 7th for CC?! :ranting::cry::protest:

I do see the 3 N/A's. (two fields has been N/A since the beginning.)

Just AOS fee changed from PAID to N/A. IV Fee and DS260 status were PAID and COMPLETED.

that's really good news congratulations :)

Welcome to the forum! Read the first post on this thread. it has a lot of really good information. It also has the link to the NVC process which is super helpful. Here it is for easy reference: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

Also read the Department of State website to understand it from there as well: https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/approved/contact.html

There are a lot of helpful people on this forum, so read through the Wiki process multiple times and ask questions when you have it. Remember to keep your timeline updated. it will help when people are helping you.

I hope you started gathering the documents needed for this stage while you were waiting for your petition to be approved. If you did, this stage will go faster for you.

The other important thing to remember is you will need to be proactive with NVC. you will be calling them quite often during this stage.

Just called NVC. Case was completed :)

11APR16 Scan date

Congratulations!

I see 3 N/As as well. I haven't called yet but I will soon.

Congratulations!

Hi guys, sorry I didn't update yal on my case status...my husband was here on vacation and well I didn't have the time to be online at all. My initial scan date was March 21 but when I didn't see the third n/a in May I already knew it meant a checklist but I was cool with it because I had my husband arriving that same night so I was more excited about seeing my baba. A few days later we got an email saying they didn't receive the AOS form although we knew we sent them...anyway as soon as hubby got back to the US last week he got on that and he mailed it himself via USPS instead of depending on our agent this time, should be delivered tomorrow. Atleast I'm positive we'll be getting CC next month, I know it takes 30 days but god may decide to surprise me with a CC for my bday...I'm hopeful. Hubby made one mistake though, he addressed it attn:cmr instead of attn:dr but I figure it's gonna get sent to the right dept when it's scanned.

Did anyone else get multiple emails from NVC with very different scan dates or am I the only one?
