And based on the date they give me that will be my scan date?

That's the tricky part. If your delivery tracking says it was delivered on Friday, 5/06, NVC has it in their building. However, they may not get it scanned into their system until a few days later and they will say that is your scan date. IF you get an email saying they received your document, that email will state it was received on 5/06 and to allow them 30 days for processing. I would say start your 30 day count from the 5/06.

You should still call and confirm when they scanned it in.

You will learn to "love" the inconsistencies of NVC. :)

It probably won't be scanned today. If it was delivered, it's probably in the building. But it will take a day or two for them to get to yours as they get many packages every day. Wait a day or two and see if you get an e-mail. In my case, I didn't get an e-mail. I called them to confirm that they received my documents and they told me when they scanned it into their system.

In my case, it was delivered on April 11th and scanned April 12th. Still waiting. :clock:

Quick question my case number starts with MNL so that means i need to mail it cant email right?

https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Submit_documents.html lists the following consulates that allow EP:

  • AKD
  • AMM
  • BGH
  • DMS
  • GZO
  • MEP
  • SAA

MTL, GUZ, BNS, FRN, HNK, RDJ, or SYD have a choice (depending on visa category)

I do not see MNL in that list, so it appears that you are correct. They must be sent via snail mail.

ok thanks gryphon one more question so the supporting documents that I will send to NVC is only copy of my original docs and my beneficiary will bring the original on their interview date? is that include the AOS docs too?

Correct, you'll send copies to the NVC but bring the originals to the interview for all documents (IV and AOS).

EDIT: I see your timeline says K-1, are you applying for Adjustment of Status? Or are you really doing IR-1/CR-1?
