We live in the UK, and filed my visa request at the London US Embassy Visa Uniy. We have to submit the I-864 form but we dont know where to send it to to their visa unit or to the NVC. The letter containing my LND nr and further instructions got lost in the post, so the embassy just emailed us LDN nr,but no further instructions as to where we have to submit the additional forms. We emailed them about this but it usually takes them 1-2 weeks to reply so I was hoping someone could give me an answer here.

***** Moving from CR-1 visa forum to DCF forum as Op is filing directly with the embassy *******

When you file directly with the embassy, you usually bring the I-864 to interview with you. However, each embassy's procedure are slightly different, so hopefully some UKers will come along and let you know details.

Your DCF process in London is almost identical to a K1, except your application form is a DS-260 and your affidavit of support is I-864. You skip NVC entirely.

1. Submit application online. (Ds-260)

2. Make an appointment at Knightsbridge clinic and attend a medical.

3. Submit Readiness for Interview form when you have all your documents gathered.

Then wait for an interview to be assigned. They mail it to you. Take all documents and I-864 to interview.

Scroll about halfway down this page for your instructions. https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/family-immigration/how-to-apply-2/

Start under the paragraph heading "Applying for a visa through the Immigrant Visa Unit in London" and read the steps.
