What if soon after applying for a Renewal, I need to change the mailing address on the DS-82 as our house which was on the market for sale for sold & I have a new mailing address? Quick closing..

Don't apply until you get a permanent address. Changing addresses will cause a lot of confusion especially when it comes to a crucial and very personal piece of identity.
