Case Complete to Interview June 2016

Okay I am now abit worried again. I know it's just a day after the interview but I checked on the status and it still says "ready" same as it did on day of the interview. Should I be worried?Is this normal?

They probably just haven't gotten around to updating the status yet. I've read about this before, I don't think it's anything to worry about. Hopefully the status changes before the weekend.

I have a question regarding fees that I'm hoping someone can help answer. First of all, my hubby just had his medical today! Wooo hoot, that much closer to the finish line, interview coming up on June 8th!!!! The waiting it killing meeeee, but after coming this far, I can finally see the finish line:). Ok, so back to my question, on the USCIS site (https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/interview/after.html), there's an immigrant fee referenced that must be paid online AFTER getting your visa. Is this fee separate from the $230 fee my hubby received information about related to paying for family based visa in his appointment information? Are these the same? I would really appreciate any information to help clarify this.

The last payment is the payment for the actual visa ($165). You pay it after you receive the visa in hand. they will not mail you the Green Card until that last fee is paid.

Okk so quick question,.The paper says within 2weeks..that means as soon as I see issued I can go for it? Lol and I know it's been just one day but how long does AP after approval take?

The questions were..

Where does your wife live.

What does she do.

Does she like it.

How did you meet.

Did did we meet face to face for the first time.

When did she come visit.

When did we get engaged.

And what he plans on working when he gets here.

I think thats all. And she looked at pictures. Super easy stuff! And he said they were really nice!

I read somewhere interview in English takes longer than the translated one to so just went for the translated one.

It must definitely be better to speak in your native tongue. I'm sure it would make the interview all the more at ease and have you comfortable

Wowowo I just checked the Status on ceac website and it says AP already!! Isn't it too early? And the CO didn't apparently said anything about being approved or denied but he said we'll call you in 10 days and I guess that was for passport pickup. I'll ask my wife again for his exact words but one thing for sure he didn't give out any 221(g) slip.

So still should I assume that the visa is approved?

Is it normal for COs not to explicitly state that it's approved or denied?

He did give out a list of approved couriers though but no AP slip

If it changed to AP after the interview was successful, then it is just that ----> Administrative Processing. This means that they are preparing the visa in the passport, packaging all your originals or whatever else is required of THEM at the consulate....the applicant's part has been already done. It is just to wait until that call comes to pickup the passport.

Has any1 seen any post from Tommal?? I'm worried for them since all this flooding etc is happening in Sri Lanka....I pray that God keeps them both safe and they have gotten "approved"

I was thinking the same thing. I posted asking Tommal yesterday but no response. I hope they are ok. Hoping they are just celebrating good news about the interview and not dealing with anything bad.
