This visa journey is very stressful. Especially, when you are doing mostly of the parts by yourself alone.I wonder any other feel like me. I am an USC petitioner. My husband doesn't even have a clue of this process. I am the one filled the forms, organized the documents, called USCIS and NVC many times, looked for the house, tried to enroll my kid in school, contacted movers and insurances. One of my friends asked him about how was the process, he replied.. "arrrrrrrrr.. it is not bad ..you just need to be patient ". I don't know what to say.

This process is very stressful and you have a lot on you right now. Keep your head up because there is light at the end of the tunnel.

I have done all the paperwork as well. However I explain every step of the process to my husband so he is knowledgeable of the process.

I know it can be frustrating but that is why we have this forum. We all vent and it helps my friend! God bless and remember not much longer and your husband will be with you!

So, this morning while sitting in horrible traffic I read this and chuckled. Not at you but with you...because there have been times where I wanted to scream or scratch someone's eyeballs out with dull fingernails. The ironic thing about this post is that just last night I was telling my husband that this process is "getting oooooooooooooold" (and I emphasized old in that exact manner). And I added that I can't take anymore and ready to fight. He laughed and told me, "just relax, relax." Well he has the patience of something or someone from another light year...which is a good thing in some respect because I am the polar opposite. But I went on to explain to him how this process is like having another job (but I am so glad that I didn't pay someone else to do it for me) and I have been consumed by paper, pens, binders, folders, markers and tabs and if I NEVER EVER SEE ANOTHER FREAKING OFFICE SUPPLY I would not complain and it wouldn't bother me one bit. And (I know it's not grammatically correct to start a sentence with AND but I did it), it seems that I have been doing everything that he has not a care in the world because he knows that "I got it."

I say all of that to say this....yes, this process can get the best of you. It's not so much the tons of paper that you go through but the wait. I have made it a point to ensure that whatever phase we enter that I explain every (and I mean EVERY) detail to him..not because I want him to feel my pain (well kinda) but because I want him to truly understand the process. So now here we are about 5 business days from the interview, and boy have the tides changed but poor little thing is starting to see it (he doesn't know that I know--my mother-in-law keeps abreast). I think that it will all come to fruition for him when the days draw nearer and he's sitting in front of the CO (if he hasn't done that yet). And (yes, I did it again)..men are built to be tough on the outside, he's not going to let you or anyone see him sweat. So, yes, it does feel like a lonely road, you are a party of one and your better half often leaves you speechless because they not get the full magnitude of what this encompasses--in the end it will be all worth it and your frustration will be a thing of the past.

*If this doesn't help--opt for a bucket of Garrett's popcorn :dancing:

Wow....so very true! My husband is so calm and at ease with the entire process. He says "our time will come" we just have to be patient. (not that easy) I am like you I hate the wait and so ready for this to be done and have him here.

Wow congrats to all the approvals and interview dates????????. God is truly our source....He is so amazing!!! Hubby and I have been praying for the Ghana Embassy to change the hearts of the people their to be fair and just in their decision making...we have to continue to intercede and lift the consulars up and the entire staff (because I know their jobs are difficult...especially in the high fraud country) as well as those that are being interviewed.

Remember, we all have the victory and by faith we will endure with strength and confidence??
