Well, I'm in AP following my interview today. I have a previous overstay which is the reason. So they need some time to look into it and make the decision. It'll either be an approval or a denial with a 10 yr ban. I was told we'll hear from them in a few days. They did keep my passport and docs. Stressful time for us right now, as if it wasn't stressful enough to get to this point.

Sorry to hear about that. Don't worry, just remain positive. Hopefully everything goes smoothly.

Hey everybody sorry been absent through the weekend. Had to make the trip to families village to be with the In Laws and siblings to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary on Sunday. And to tell the news "WE ARE APPROVED".

That was hard for my husband to tell his momma that he is now moving to US at end of June.

I'm heading back to US after 6 months here on Friday.

So how is everybody. :goofy:

Welcome back Dwheels!

Address changes at interview or POE. No issues. Almost to the day. wooooo whoooo.

Rescued by Dwheels as always - thank you!

Just wondered if i might get any weird looks at POE since the addy will be in a different city & state but I guess address changes are not so uncommon after all.

Getting more hyper every day, wahh!

I am sorry to hear about your case and its current status. However I will implore you to summon courage and have faith that all will end well. They have held on to your passport and I am also with you in prayers.

It will all end in good news in the end. Stay encouraged

How long was your overstay and on what basis were you in the country?

If it's possibly a 10 year ban, it's at least one year of overstay. I say that's overly harsh and doesn't really fix anything, but I don't know what the answer to "fixing" that is =(

GOD IS AMAZING!!!!!

I got to the embassy at around after 6am for a 7am interview. Got to the first window at almost 7:30 and presented the necessary documents (marriage certificate, police record, birth certificate and medical)

Waited almost an hour then name was called for the interview

I wasn't asked for any tax stuff or pictures. They did ask me quiet a few questions though

Questions asked

Who is filing for you?

What is her name?

Have you ever been arrested?

Has she ever been arrested?

Does she have any children?

What are their names?

How old are they?

Do you have any kids?

How long have you known your wife?

How long have you been married?

How old is your wife?

What does she do?

Who is (the name of affidavit of support)?

When last did you speak to your wife?

Is she nervous for you?

What did you talk about today?

How does your wife make money?

Have you discussed with her if you should get denied?

Okay you are approved

Would like to thank Dwheels76, shsl73, JASM ,princessLee, picobenz and everyone who have shown support and advise. Thank you
