I know I've seen this before, but I've forgotten the meaning. If status says, "Ready" does that mean it's already at the embassy?

Correct!

Not necessarily so....maybe those people haven't reported anything for dwheels to update the spreadsheet or they have some other issue going on...look at the glass 1/2 full.

My wife who just went for her bio-metrics exam in Mumbai and was advised that her report will be sent directly to the Consulate? Is that normal?

What all did she have done? I thought it was just fingerprints and photographs. I thought those were ready the same day and the applicant takes it with him/her to the interview?

Let me know so I can give my husband a heads up. He's scheduled to do his fingerprinting stuff the day before his interview.

So far she got her medical done which did get an report.

She also had her bio metrics like photograph and finger printing which she didnt get any report of it as she was advised that it will be sent to the consulate directly. Also she had to make an appointment directly thru the us travel docs website.

Can someone please confirm if the bio-metrics reports were given to you or not? Should i call NVC and see maybe they can help us?

NVC doesn't have much to do with your case now. Call the Mumbai embassy and see if someone there can give you a direct answer, if no one on VJ responds quick enough.

Ok first congrats guys on approvals and cc and hoping to to see more interviews scheduled and more cc's.

I have a question maybe someone could assist me with? I have my interview in London at 1:30 pm 6th june 2016. So my question is does anyone know the quickest way to get your passport back from consulate after approval. Quicker to get it from london somewhere. or Express to my house address? And what is the timeline to get passport back?

Dean

Hi Dean,

You need to register with the courier online, via the https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/ website, there you can choose to pick up from one of their depots or have it delivered to an address of your choice. Regarding timeline, here is a link to recent times for London interviews: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/550974-interview-date-to-visa-in-hand-how-long-2015-data/page-8

You'll find more UK-specific information like this in the UK forum - General Discussion Area --> Regional Discussion --> United Kingdom.

Good luck!

Dean,

My husband's interview is also in London, but on the 8th of June. Good luck to you! As far as your question, I believe the average I've noticed people posting about getting their passport back is around 3-5 business days. I advised my hubby to get it delivered at home vs going to pick it up, but he has yet to select his courier service online, which is something that must be done before the interview.

Also, can anyone tell me which website you go to, to see the status of "At NVC" or whatever the latest is on one's case? CEAC? What is the exact site?

Thanks!

Hi mjsweetie,

https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx

Also comes up if you just Google CEAC.

Hey everyone I wanted to get some advice please. We have been scheduled for an interview on June 27th in San Salvador and we're currently getting everything ready. However, when my wife called the doctors to schedule her medical appointment they all claim to be booked until after the interview date. What should we do? She called the embassy and they basically said we can either attend the interview without the medical or reschedule our interview date. I don't like either of those ideas!! haha

Just looking to get confirmation from you experts here:

It's okay to make an address change at POE, right? Just asking cause hubby might get a new place and there's a chance the deal might not be finalized by the time of my interview.

So...first change of address at POE and then online?
