We just received the interview letter via e-mail but have yet to receive the case complete letter. Has this happened to anyone and should we be concerned? Also, the interview letter has a L next to Marriage Certificate but there is no document status code definition for L. What does L imply? Thanks.

I got our interview letter today today but mine didn't have any L code. next to Marriage Certificate for us we have a J, which means the original needs to be taken to the interview.

I tried to google what L could mean and couldn't find anything either. Maybe call the embassy and ask them directly?

Just got our date! June 27th!

Congratulations!

Hey guys got my email notification today about case complete.only waiting on interview date now bless me lord.

Congratulations!

Hey I am selling out I'm not going to defend Ja, they can do better.

Lol...Say noooo and walk back towards the light. You can't sell out, you're bonded for life!

Hey...in all fairness...it's not what it was and the whole process can stand some improvements, yes? As with anything, change is often slow...look how long it took for the evolution of the shoe. Once a sandal...a thong that fit in between the toes and usually a leather strap or two to fasten...now here we are with colored bottoms and shoes that fasten by a string. Who would've thunk it?

I'm sure by the time we are dust, all the embassy's will have figured out that mailing in a paper form and scheduling an appointment for an interview can be completely done without 3rd party involvement and will be a thing of the past.

P.S. Me and Petes30 coming with the squad to pull your card of affiliation. BTW...it's easy to get in but you gotta be jumped out! Hahahaha

I don't know the actual answer to your question - but I see you had to submit your certificate again because they lost the first one. Maybe the "L" stands for "Lost"!!!!

Anyway, take a copy with you to the interview just in case they lost it a second time!

Good luck!

LOL where do you come up with this stuff! I swear you have a sack full of how to liven things up on VJ and amuse folks. hahahaha

Well LinJoe...I honestly don't know. My family tells me that they use to dangle me upside down by my ankles a lot as a baby and then they progressed to sitting me on top of the fridge and yelling "jump"... And I did...(true story)

I think this process has made me a little coocoo for coco puffs. My husband just shakes his head and wonders what I'm going to say next...

Seriously though...life is short, time is precious...why walk around looking like someone took the last donut? Laughter is good for the soul, no matter the situation. And this, along with other everyday stressors...we all should be able to step away with a smile...don't you think? Who wants to go to bed with their face puckered up like they sucked salt all day...imagine the image you'd see in the mirror when you wake...(no selfies please).

*I'm really very shy in person.

My husband has an interview scheduled!!!!! June 17th!!! :dancing::star::dance:

I can't believe it!!! That light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter. I didn't think we would get an interview towards the middle of the month like that especially since our CC was towards the end of the month.

God willing, all goes well and my wonderful husband will be here with me by our one year anniversary!!!! Now i'm praying all goes smoothly between now and through the interview. (L)

Wow!!!.congratulations

Interview date June 24th after a CC on May 4th! Whoo hoo! Can anyone tell me the specifics on trying to request an earlier date from the embassy? Things I have to wait for, etc.?

I recently went into the embassy and It was almost empty. I jokingly asked the women helping me if they ever get so busy, and she told me no. Maybe we can squeeze in a little earlier since we already completed our medical exam.

Congrats to everyone one else who have gotten their interviews scheduled, and good luck on this next step. To everyone else waiting, I do hope you hear back soon!

Folks,

thanks to Almighty..Good news.. My wife had only three question asked:

1. How did your husband went to america.

2. Can you show marriage pictures?

3. Please provide original documents.. [ She was given a positive news!]

Question: For greencard process payment, how do I get Alien registration number? where it is located?

thx

Awww...congrats on the wonderful news.

I believe, and someone else will chime in if I'm incorrect here, but if you go back the the very 1st page...the beginning of the thread...it speaks to this process. Although I have not done a search myself, there could also be information and/or instructions on the Wiki.

Best of luck to you and your wife on the next steps and safe travels.

For Greencard payment, Kindly go to: https://public-prod-elis2.uscis.dhs.gov/efile/app/app/iv/#!/and type in your Alien number.

Note: You can only make the payment once you have received your documents and passport. As you will need your alien number which will be sent to you alongside your documents. Can also be found within your immigrant visa.

I paid mine yesterday 10th May

Hi!

Happy to read about people progressing and the good advice given. Thank you :-)

Been on vacation in Israel <3

Yesterday I had an appointment with my doctor and, guess what, there's no chronological record of vaccinations. They only keep information from the last 10 years. However, I was just given a paper saying that I got all the vaccinations needed in Spain and that I should not be given the tetanus one until 2021.

Therefore, I sent an email attaching that paper to the physicians that will do my examination to see if that's valid and/or anything else is needed.

I'll let you know as soon as I have an answer.

Have a great day!
