I have a quick question, what documents should my wife take to the interview? I have the following document codes in the interview letter:

CORRESPONDENCE INSTRUCTIONS C

does this mean, she only needs to take the originals for code 'J'?, copy of this Interview letter, 2 photographs, sealed medical envelop?

And I'm guessing "Pakistan Police Certificate code 'X'" means it's not required since it's unobtainable?

Also should I send updated I-864 with 2015 tax return as most recent info in it, and also copy of the tax return as well? I read through VJ that they require an updated I-864 along with the recent tax return if Interview is after April tax deadline.

For 2015 Tax return, I filed W-7 form with my tax return so that I could file MFJ and claim my wife (beneficiary). In the form I-864 : Part 5 - Item 3 which says "If you are currently married, enter "1" for your spouse." do I still enter 1 even though my spouse is the intended immigrant and I have already added 1 for her in Item 1 of Part 5. It seems pretty straight forward from the instructions but just to be clear so that CO at interview doesn't bring an issue..

Please let me know if there's anything I'm missing, or I'm on right track?

NVC asked us to bring the 2015 IRS transcript to the interview. No biggie, the hubby already sent it to me.

But does that also mean he needs to fill out a new I-864 EZ form or will the transcript do?

Just quickly checked with the hubby; looks like the I-864 EZ is already up to date because he did file taxes before we sent it off and just didn't have the IRS transcript at the time. He'll check tho. I'm useless when it comes to tax stuff and forms; to me it's alla mystery in chinese letters ?

Been a member for a while but barely wrote. But i want to say that my interview was today and we got approved!!! Interviewwas at 10 and we got out 11.20 :)

Just confirmed hubby's interview date! June 30th at 1pm his time. I had only called to find out if the South African embassy was still scheduling interviews for June (pressed 7) and Eve, a very pleasant woman, informed me that they had just scheduled his interview. She verified our email addresses to make sure we would get the notice. WOOOHOO!!!!!!!

Also, Congrats AND big thanks to dhweels and Lin, and everyone else who's anxiously waiting for that last step over the mountain!

Thank you to everyone that responded to my good news. I was trying to go in and say thank you individually but it wouldn't let me do that many MultiQuotes. :) so a big thank you!

Also congratulations to those that also got their interview date! what a relief to finally be done with NVC! Now to prepare for the interview and make preparations for our loved ones to be with us, or in some cases prepare to go be with your loved one!! wooohoooooooooooooooo.

Hi all, just wanted to let you know we got approved this morning!

We had our 8am interview in Montreal, Canada.

Thanks so much to everyone that helped us on here!!

Very pleasant experience. I'll write a review on the consular section later.
