Case Complete to Interview June 2016

I'm still waiting on March 24th Case Complete for UAE. The wait has been longer than other countries in the past, but it seems like we are way beyond that timeframe of 95 day timeline as well. How long does it take to switch consulates?

Changing embassies is not wise at this point it can take 2 to 3 months. Every embassy has their waits. Look at Egypt, Jamaica, Ghana. Don't know whats up with UAE usually backlogs has to do with lack of staff.

I've been calling them every day, however, the response is that we'll let you know when it's scheduled. We cannot predict the timelines. When asked if they have started UAE yet? They usually don't know, or say generic answer that they start scheduling at the end of the month. Hoping for a July interview now ??

What is your Visa category? Is it IR1/CR1?

Just called NVC and was given the good news that our interview date is scheduled for June 22, 2016!! Thought we would have missed this scheduling cycle since our cc was May 4th and was expecting something in July. So very happy right now!!!

Hey guys, quick question.

I got my CC last week on Monday, May 2nd. I called to double check with NVC, and I was in fact approved. The lady on the phone told me to wait for an email and then they would begin the process of scheduling the interview with my Embassy. Then, I had read some conflicting instructions here and with PM with other VJ members form Venezuela and had some conflicting comments as well. Some members are telling me the NVC will schedule the appointment for me, some others are saying I have to go through a website and schedule it myself, some others are saying it depends on what kind of visa you are applying for, etc. etc. etc. So I called NVC again on Thursday and the lady said the same thing, continue to wait for the email and they will schedule the appointment for me. This case is for my MOTHER, not fiance or husband, I know, wrong thread, but there are barely any parent cases on VJ.

Today, I got the email and it says:

Dear Sir/Madam,

The National Visa Center (NVC) received all the requested documentation for this immigrant visa case. The applicant is now in the queue awaiting an interview appointment overseas, where a consular officer will adjudicate the applicant’s visa application.

NVC schedules appointments one month in advance. The U.S. Embassy or Consulate General tells us what dates they are holding interviews, and NVC fills these appointments in a first-­in, first-out manner. Most appointments are set within 60 days of NVC receipt of all requested documentation. However, we cannot predict when an interview appointment will be available.

When we are able to schedule an appointment, we will notify the applicant, petitioner and attorney (if applicable). The applicant can prepare now by reading about the embassy’s interview requirements online at http://nvc.state.gov/interview. Thank you for your patience.

The embassy may require additional documents at the interview. In particular, if the following three items are all true, the applicant must bring a new police certificate to the visa interview:

• He or she is more than 16 years old;
• The police certificate submitted to NVC was obtained more than one year ago; and
• He or she still lives in the country that issued the certificate.

The applicant should not make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment until the embassy has issued a visa.

I was wondering if anyone else got this letter and what does it mean? I did not request any change of mailing/email address... or are they talking about the embassy's address? which is the one listed at the end of the letter (I put it in bold).

Every embassy has their allotted slots for each visa category.

The mail change from NVC they do time to time in error. Just call the embassy and ask if they are finish scheduling for I-5 category for your embassy.

hey guys does anyone know if NVC schedules the interviews in the same manner for f2a as they do for IR-1 or not? I feel like it takes longer to schedule the for f2a.

It's all about how many slots the embassy makes available for the visa category.

hello everyone , i got my interview 14 june 2016 ,Cairo Egypt. IR-1 visa ,, after long time of waiting , anyway i almost done with everything ,, but i want to share with u those things and also to make other may it will help ,, i got P4 latter with the required interview document ..as it shown ...

i understand what the status means and i know what to bring with me but i little confuse about somethings

1st - why financial evidence start with "F" letter not a number like other and if "Y" mean the NVC sent this document to the US embassy is this mean i dont need those documents with me ???? and if i must what exactly i should got with me cuz i already submit IRS and i-846 form all the original ones to NVC but all was in Dec 2015 so do i have to get new document from IRS or pay stubs for the this year 2016 knowing that its take long time to got them ?? i appreciate so much if u tell me what exactly i have to take with me about this ?!! ...(step by step)

2nd - about the IV application part 1 .2 i read about this and it say "R" mean that i done this online so i got the online Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration - Confirmation Page is this the right one or the whole form ??

3rd - its not mention any translations and most of those document its in Arabic language so what i have to do ??? i have it anyway

4th - do i have to get any relationship evidence with me knowing that they asked for it iat USCIS and we sent allot of it more than 50 pages and reason is simply cuz we been married for almost 5 years now and for sure we have allot of it and if so .. what i can take with me ???

1. That F letter is their identification. You only need to worry about the Document Status.

Yes you have to bring 2015 to interview it was due April 18th. So new 2015 taxes and new I-864

2. Part 1 and 2 doesn't apply it's from the old DS-230. The online DS-260 replaced it. It should read DS-260 Confirmation page.

3.Translations are not needed at embassy.

4. No you don't have to spring evidence, but you should. Egypt is not an easy embassy. With Mandatory AP for most. You need to show a real bonafide relationship. chats, IM's, most definitely pictures with family and friends documenting all the visits through the 5 years.

5. Abnormal no. Just be sure you have all your originals for interview.

What form 1810?

Have no idea what you are referring to. Ds-260 Confirmation page is all I know you need. Could you put screen shot of what you are talking about.

My husband has an interview scheduled!!!!! June 17th!!!

I can't believe it!!! That light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter. I didn't think we would get an interview towards the middle of the month like that especially since our CC was towards the end of the month.

God willing, all goes well and my wonderful husband will be here with me by our one year anniversary!!!! Now i'm praying all goes smoothly between now and through the interview.

I had only called to find out if the South African embassy was still scheduling interviews for June (pressed 7) and Eve, a very pleasant woman, informed me that they had just scheduled his interview. She verified our email addresses to make sure we would get the notice. WOOOHOO!!!!!!!

Also, Congrats AND big thanks to dhweels and Lin, and everyone else who's anxiously waiting for that last step over the mountain!
