Thanks dwheels. So that means my embassy has my pics already?

Yes they do,

During my interview, I was able to see all the documents and pictures and cover letter we submitted to USCISC, It was a large folder that contained all document we have submitted since inception till day of interview. They use all the various information to have a base understanding of your journey and I BELIEVE IT ALSO HELPS THEM IN CURTAILING THE KINDS ON QUESTIONS BEEN ASKED DURING INTERVIEW.

I don't know if the police certs you are referring to is specific to Ghana only....but the police certs in TnT are valid for various period depending on what it is being used for. For example, it's valid for 3mth if you are using it for employment and it is used for the stipulated period for other things. So it maintains the 1yr validity for the visa process.

On my husband's police certificate it states that it's valid for 6 months so I was worried that would be a problem come interview time so he decided to get a new one just in case.

Good Morning everyone!Just caught up with what has been posted over the weekend...

As for the evidence issue; we also never sent anything (except for the marriage license) and neither USCIS or NVC asked for anything. Actually I thought we might get a RFE for it but nope, didn't happen.

I will just bring some pics, chat logs etc. to the interview so I can show it when requested. Just to be on the safe side.

same here. I only sent in the a copy of the marriage license at both the USCIS and NVC stages. I didn't know anything about front loading anything and I didn't find NVC until after I already filed the I-130. i'm not too worried about it because everything up to this point says to bring proof of relationship to the interview. There are tons of people that don't know about VJ and didn't front load or side load anything and got their visas without any problem.

I've reached out to several members on VJ that went through the Mumbai consulate for an interview and they didn't send anything except marriage license as well and the CO barely looked at the proof during the interview and only asked a few questions. My husband also knows of several people in India that went through this process and didn't send in proof ahead of time and got their visas. I'm praying all of the bumps in the road are done for us and it's cruise control going forward. Just waiting on the interview to be scheduled now.

Good luck!

Lol. You always know how to bring smiles on here.

Listen man...I know you are on edge...I can always tell when your mind starts to chatter and nerves kick in...I know and understand why...so just to make you smile, laugh or cuss me...makes me know that I am taking your mind off the overthinking..

Mi jus want you to relax! Fret none and enjoy the moment..

When this is done...mi and your wife gone lick your butt for stressing so!

Congrats for those who are in the final days of struggle - those with Case Complete and those who have been scheduled an interview!!!!

I'd like to make a suggestion to ALL CR-1 visa aspirants and their spouses...I know you are excited, and half of you are moving to a new country. But you really need to be focusing on the NEXT step - which is every bit as onerous as the trip you've made through NVC - and that's the I-751 journey.

Get yourself some sort of storage bin (I've attached a picture of what I've used) or expandable folder. Keep it in a prominent place. From the start of your marriage, add bank statements, credit card statements, memberships, travel details, health care claims, and mail addressed to both of you to the bin or folder. You don't have to organize it now - but SAVE it. It will make your I-751 process go so much more easily.

I've been on Visa Journey now for a while - and my spouse and I have just submitted our 4 pound packet of documentation to that vast black hole called the Vermont Service Center. I was SOOOOO glad I'd had enough discipline to keep the stuff in one place. (Kind of like I keep documents for filing taxes.) I was able to send in mail addressed to us from our marriage, nearly every vacation document you could have (when you make hotel reservations - get BOTH names on the reservation!), and lots of one-off documents that I'd never be able to recall online.

Get into good habits now! You will really be thankful in two years!
